YES! Thank you for bringing that up!
ALL THINGS SHOULD BE NAMED WHAT THEY ARE!
Then there should be a brand beneath, like: Shampoo
“by hairyfairy”.
Ok, maybe not exactly what you were saying but that’s what I think. And I think that there’s no need to have 28 different dandruff shampoos.
So yea, let’s call someone about this right away.
On topic though:
i have no idea what you’re talking about: Ethereals? That they’d be like ghosts? sounds pretty cool but i have this feel it’d be underwhelming. like they’re not ghosts. they’re some kind of elf, but blue. that’s about how cool i think they’d be. not like: -25% physical dmg taken translucent being, hovers… but frail to psychic. u know, real stuff. in wow it be more like 20% stun duration reduction WOAH.
anyway, i thought i’d rant that. hope your dreams come true, good luck.
and also: your theory that this gadget signifies their preeminent arrival as a playable race, sure. idk at all, could be.
all in all i have to say that i’m indifferent to additional races but that i’m a bit more positive about the wow experience than i was only a few hours ago. it’s not so bad, is it. actually pretty good. just some things missing… and those wouldn’t be races.
4 types of Elfs
2 types of Orcs
3 types of Dwarfs
2 types of humans
.
.
.
Some amorphous, asexual lizards and obese furr-balls as neutral races…
.
ect…
And you want to add some aliens from another planet (etherals), and some bird-people from another dimention/timeline (arakoa)? REALLY?
Why not add the race “green lantern core” while were at it. Cause interdimentional/space fairing races sure helps with the “fantasy” of this game.
What’s next? Machine guns as weapons, orbital bombardments as a racial ?
I mean… the space goats were already a streach when their capital city is a crash-landed space ship in a medieval fantasy world… PLEASE… If they can cross the cosmos at super-luminal speeds inside a ship the size of a city, how come their warriors have to run arround with swords and axes ? Why not plasma guns, incinerators and multy-meltas ?
So have the Arakoa. And the fact that they are old dosent mean they are correct, or appropriate.
The space goats are from TBC era as well. And as I said, space-ships and aliens make no sense in WoW. Im sorry.
Orcs got here via portal. Which required significant effort on both sides to pull off. Not via space-ship. Or via effortless teleport, like the Etherals or the dudes from Tazavesh that can move cities across dimentions.
Think of where the Etherals live. They live on a void-destroyed planet. And use technology that to other cultures is lightyears more advanced. For example, hey construct “eco-domes” from scratch that are capable of surviving the worst nether-storms ever whitnessed.
That is SC2 level of technology…
And just as the Space Goats, if we can play Etherals, where are my plasma cannon and nukes? We could solve so many problems with those…
They are much better off as NPCs. Observers. Bystanders. Some OP race that dosent wipe us all out instantly because we are ants to them. They are more interested in their weird inter-dimentional eco-domes and building undustrial scale “mana factories” like the ones in TBC. To power their Plasma Cannons and space ships I guess.
And FYI: The story of S3 raid would be super lame if somehow some humans and orcs go on a 1-1 with a void God and manage to even sctrach one of his tentacles. It would also not make any sense. I mean… an entitiy that can consume and destroy planets somehow can be tanked by a Gnome with a bucler?
So I hope its one of those bosses where you harm the boss indirectly with cannons. Like the Kracken from SB.
I think ethereal would be cool but also feel out of place on azeroth because only place we meet them are destroyed planet and space places.
id like more of them on azeroth doing things like their wildlife experiment and creating zoos. lol
maybe leyline stuffs in places abandoned by elves, like in northrend with malygos ganging up with some ethereals.
