Please don’t make races cross faction

Look. Every expansion we’ve dealt with the same garbage.

Alliance vs horde. They’re fighting.

Look, a big baddie that threatens both factions.

Let’s unite against this threat.

Threat defeated. Now we’re at peace.

Oh. apparently someone sneezed at another guy’s face. Back to war.

In order for an interesting change to happen with the world of warcraft, sometimes even the most fundamental things must change.

I’d even go as far as considering raiding and mythic+ for both factions should become a thing. That way, alliance will also not have a disadvantage when it comes to high end raiding, because now they can do stuff with horde as well.

World pvp, can turn into a world dueling, where you won’t die by the hands of your enemies and just lose. But losing gives you a debuff that reduces your stats or something to make it equal to dying in terms of negative effects. That way, we get to have world pvp and it’ll make sense if both factions are now at peace.

Lots of ideas can be done with the system.

And to be honest, mixing the factions in some aspects is by far better than dividing them and then dealing with constant balance issues, and HORDE or ALLIANCE FAVORITISM complaints.

Well, the story has evolved. Having us fight each other because…we’re just that racist, I guess, really makes no sense anymore. Especially when there’s a conga line of Gods, Titans, angry fish people and cyborg gnomes constantly trying to end the world or whatever.
Serious, the fact that, after the disaster that is the Nazjatar opening sequence, both armies have taken massive blows, a HUGH threat has surfaced and everything is just generally going belly up, and somehow, some way, we STILL need to try to kill each other?

It’s, in my opinion, much, much more immersion breaking to have every major character on both sides have to be so astoundingly, endlessly, un-waveringly, brain splittingly, egg-licking-ly, potato-counting-to-ly, face backwards, pants-on-head STUPID as to continue such a pointless, obviously unnecessary conflict: Even during immensely dire survival situations like Nazjatar. Even while on neutral territory, whilst working towards the same goal, like Mechagon. Even as world ending threat after world ending threat emerges. That is true stupidity. No real army, no real nation would ever act like that. It’s just bonkers. It makes every lore character involved in the war look like drooling mongoloids who couldn’t run a daycare for porcelain dolls.
What’s even worse is, apparently, our characters follow these utter idiots in their quest to see who can do the most murder for basically no reason other than “racism, lol”! (It’s a whole other issue that our characters, who eat gods for brunch, still differ to faction leaders, I’m pretty sure we should be the most powerful things walking Azeroth by now, but an absurd margin…but that’s neither here nor there)

Actually having lore characters make decisions even close to as competently as your average seagull would do a lot more good for immersion than seeing a Blood Elf chilling in Stormwind would harm it.

We team up all the time - and so many other plot points: Said teaming up, Void Elfs really not wanting to actually destroy the Blood Elves, Ankoan having no beef with Kelfin, Demon Hunters putting their order above all else, Death Knights being…Death Knights, etc, etc have been completely thrown under the bus just so we could keep the useless, idiotic two-faction war going, because apparently everybody in this universe is just mentally handicapped.
