PDH is a long-standing, PvE-orientated guild on the Horde side of Gandling EU (PvP). The guild was formed soon after the announcement of WoW:Classic, with a large group of our core team coming together to discuss the game before release.
Our aim is (and always has been) to clear all PvE content consistently while keeping to a player-driven, “semi-casual” ethos. As a guild we managed to clear all classic raids while taking memes (our core team had shadow priests, boomkins, feral DPS/Tanks, enhance and elemental shamans), never requiring World Buffs and sticking to a 2 day main raid schedule.
Raid Schedule
- Thurs (1x 25man/1x 10man) and/or Fri (1x 25man/1x 10man) 19:30-23:00. The Gruul/Mag runs are done within an hour.
- At least 2x 10mans over the weekend (optional).
- ZG/BWL quick runs (optional) on Monday evening.
- Later phases will use BOTH main raid days (Thurs/Fri) for progression.
Rules
- Turn up as often as you can (raid sign ups are on Discord)
- Complete attunements for upcoming content ASAP
- Please don’t get yourself locked out of guild raids by doing pugs/GDKPs (unless you’re specifically told you won’t be needed for that reset) - signing as absent for guild raids to attend pugs will result in the removal of your raider rank
- Let us know if you’ll be unavailable for an extended period of time, failure to communicate absences may also result in the removal of your raider rank
- Have a good understanding of your class/spec and how it relates to raid performance/mechanics
- Put effort in to acquiring, gemming and enchanting gear outside of raids (at no point will we require “BiS”)
- Bring the consumables that are suggested/advised by the raid leader
- Have reliable access to Discord and Voice chat for raiding (as well as sign ups) and social times
- Be able to listen, understand and communicate via English in a raid setting (voice/text) - this is, unfortunately non-negotiable
- To deal with potential absences we will inevitably have more members than will be needed for our planned 2 raid teams in TBC - our aim is to rotate people in/out fairly when necessary
- Be respectful and open to helping members/alts out in non-raid content whenever possible
Loot Distribution
Loot is handled via a bespoke wishlist system, website and addon designed by us (with smaller raids using soft reserves). We believe this provides the best opportunity to both new and longstanding members to get the gear they most desire without worrying about DKP or loot council decisions. Upon joining the guild as a prospective raider you start a “2 raid reset cooldown” without a wishlist where we can evaluate whether or not you’re a good “fit” for us. After that you’ll be provided with a website login (and instructions) to set up a prioritised wishlist for the current tier of content. If you have any further questions about this system before applying please ask away!
Outside of Main Raids
There’s an abundance of things to do outside of core raiding in TBC - expect constant dungeon farms, PvP/arena teams and alt levelling. We also plan on continuing the tradition of running weekend pugs.
Social applications are welcome, but we generally stick to a “friends and family” policy to stop our numbers from skyrocketing - doesn’t hurt to ask though!
Currently Recruiting
