But to be honest with you, it’s not really PVP. Most of the time you’re spamming 1 button and running around in circles.
It’s not hard. It’s just about trying, and when you finally win a battle it feels great!
Those shinnies are going to be much more enjoyable to look at if you actually work for them and enjoyed the content doing it.
Personally, if I didn’t enjoy a game mode, I would worry about those shinnies.
It’s a shame, people used to enjoy playing World of Warcraft, and you rarely met a player who didn’t atleast try. These days people just don’t care about the game anymore.
To be fair, if there was no pvp, the event would be perfect. But the pvp aspect spoils most of the fun. Overall satisfied with the cosmetics though. 2nd day and I need like 20k points to unlock everything.
I’m not a toxic person (and PvP is toxic by definition); I have absolutely no desire to stop others from collecting plunder by killing them. Just because you can technically do that by attacking and harming other ppl instead of working with them, that doesn’t mean you have to do so when there is another option to reach that goal.
In all my games I killed one other player and that was an accident because they walked into my AoE when I was killing a group of mobs; usually I got to the top ten players left just by ignoring ppl attacking me and running on to the next plunder piles / chests.
Well, sadly those shinies are for the game mode I actually do care about, so I was kinda “forced” into it.
If I’d wanted to play some PvP or survival game, there are plenty of other games to do so instead of having to shoehorn that into WoW.
I kill them if I’m still doing my objective but when I am done and want to requeue I generally give a player a free kill instead of running into the storm.
If you try to see Plunderstorm as an extreme game of hide and seek it’s also fun. I got the bush last game and managed to end as one of the last 3. I got greedy and tried to move to some better abilities people dropped and mine sucked, but I got sniped.
It was funny seeing them all fight for their life while I was just chilling as a bush.
Yep, just had that one meself. Got the bush thing, ran to middle of map and hid in amongst a few other bushes whilst watching the fun. Eventually got bored as one of the last 3 and legged it into the storm
Current model
1 raid in season 1 8 bosses
1 raid in season 2 8 bosses
1 raid in season 3 8 bosses
awakened raid season 4 *LD scalling is amazing content…redo 1st 3 raids
And let’s not talk about the total content …an amazing zone like Wintergrasp…servers were alive and kicking and people were enjoying the game…
Also with the current model …1 plunderstorm per expansion and 1 remix at the end of tier 3 because the numbers are going negative:D
Blizzard does not want to make game as fun as this in retail. Because they make more money with cosmetics. That is also the reason they don’t make WoW fun and balanced to play. People feeling happy and fun does not give them extra money.
I set myself the challenge last time to win a game as a level 1 bush. Managed it after about 8 tries, looking forward to trying to do it again this time though I suspect it will be harder with how much stronger ranged AoE is.
Nothing looks new in it or problems fixed. So I’m skipping this one.
I didn’t even care about the first Plunderstorm, why would I want to play it again?
I wasn’t super intrigued by the game mode the first time around, but at least there’s no preset reward track this time. Might grind out the few items I want and leave it at that tbh.
