There are many reasons.
1- It takes the server about 20 seconds to remove your character from the game.
2- For RP reasons, since your character starts " resting "
3- To prevent exploits, both in PVP and PVE, if you logged out before an ability hit u it means the ability can’t hit your non-existing character.
It is, where you log out is important and if you enter combat even when the game is closed you’ll be dead on next log in.
Could you please use some other word than ‘cheese’, for clarity? What does ‘cheese’ mean as a verb anyway? I only know the food.

In this context, to ‘cheese’ something is to cheat or deprive someone of their of their victory by abusing a game mechanic.

I wasn’t in any way being sarcastic. My experience is that not everyone on these forums has English as a first language and as such they are not always familiar with expressions or colloquialisms, so I was clarifying the context in which I used the phrase.
I’m not sure where this agression is coming from, I’ve only tried to be helpful in this thread and am not interested in getting into an argument.

The prob with these forums is that – almost – only imbeciles participate.
They don’t care about what have been said, etc.
I think that won’t be possible with or without delay because you can’t log out when you are in combat, no matter the delay.

There is an exit now button. that you can just exit that has the same count down.
Why cant there be an Logout now button to switch tio the character screen?
I think the general point is to actually get faster to the char menu then a log out timer. I dont understand why theres no logout now button and it must be a count down.
You can just add a logout now button like you can when you exit.

This doesnt matter. If I want to log out or switch characters, for both I should be able to do so.
