Positivity thread

not game related but still positivity.

i may have just rinsed my bank account getting tickets to distant worlds for next year; going to a concert for my favorite franchise with my best bud is worth it.

had surgery for chronic reflux nearly 3 weeks ago, not had an episode since. here’s hoping it sticks.

I returned him to some sausage rolls which I did not expect today. I feel a little more complete than usual. Also it’s supposed to snow in northern England soon which is neat, it’ll pretty the place up a bit.

University has broken up, my work is on a Christmas lull and my hours have fallen down. I might actually have time to roleplay.

Well that’s just fantastic news! I’ve had a Cancer scare myself, and the relief when you get the ‘All Clear’ is unreal. They must be so happy right now. This will be a Good Christmas for you. I lost a LARP buddy to Cancer last month, which was scary, he was the same age as my little brother, but hearing all the positive things people were saying about him, their good memories, and having those memories myself, was kind of a wake-up call. I’ve always been a hard drinking, hard smoking, hard fighting kind of guy (At LARP! I don’t pick fights in pub car parks) so from that tragedy Its kind of moved me to become a bit more responsible in how I look after myself. Every cloud, eh? Still, Congrats to your Fiance, F*ck Cancer.

I know, right! I’ve completely went ‘Mix n’ Match’ for my new transmog on Brigante, Shoulders, Cloak and Gauntlets? Hells yes. The rest I’ll keep as the PvP set.

My positivity? My little bro and sister in law have decided to adopt a kid, rather than try for their own. It means I have to cut down on the smokes and the booze, which isn’t a bad thing, but to have a little kid call me ‘Uncle’ that’s a worthwhile price to pay (not to mention being good for me!) I can’t wait. I get to watch trashy 80’s TV cartoon shows again and claim it is for their benefit and not my nostalgia!

Transmog makes me happy!

I adore the new WF cloth armor set and it might even make me level a Nelf clothie just for the sake of it (Third priest on AD? No problem). I wish this was available to my Nightborne priest though. I also love the WF caster staff and all of the weapons (bar the silly warglaive which shouldn’t be a warglaive). I love the Belf heritage armor set as well. Even the Horde leather version of WF set looks cooler than expected.

I’m also very glad to see the shared reputation as I couldn’t get Exalted more than 10 on a single toon. Now I’m nearing 40.
The lifted rep restrictions for collected mog feels so satisfying.
And as a huge altoholic that accumulated about 17x 110s in Legion, I am also looking forward for the reduced XP on new toons.

From IRL perspective, me and my better half are finally moving to our own place! Can’t wait to get the internet running and settle a bit, as after that I really wish to return back to active RP.
Also received salary today so wooo! .

-My Druid looks awesome in the new WF Leather set.
-The revamped zones are looking so darn nice.
-Better exp earning on alts it a godsend, as is the ‘All Unlocked’ Heart of Azeroth thingy.
-Love my Guild on my Druid  -

I am very happy and positive that I got the Kaldorei Nightsaber on my first attempt on horde.
Now I got the mount I wanted for my nelf, and that makes me smile.

Someone, somewhere in Blizzard has sacrificed their job to give us Cross-Faction communication. To that person, I say thank you for having the empathy with your loyalist customers enough to do such a brave action.

  • When alting, with every patch it’s a little more noticeable how much of the enemies/critters have been updated.
  • Speaking of which, finally proper leveling speed again.
  • They’ve really been on their horse with regards to armour looks as of late, now most sets actually match the published art style they’ve had for years, instead of flaming skull fountain shoulders. Which nicely leads to…
  • With BFA I finally was able to update Gaeb’s main armour look with high res pieces all around, those warfront sets are a blessing.
  • Glad to see some night elf spotlight at last, same goes for gnomes in the next (?) patch. And once again their warfront armour looks great, tempted to scrap my low level demon hunter experiment and reroll her as a nelf priestess just for that pretty dress.
  • The recent return of a good solid Alliance paladin hero, with Turalyon. He was always my fave of the bunch, so I’m really glad he wasn’t Tirioned into neutrality.

I could go on for a while, the positives in WoW vastly outnumber the negatives for me!

It’s so quick to level now, I’ve actually got the motivation to bother with alts!

Though there’s a lot to say about leveling… The fact you can skip the fkin outland is just amazing.

Highmountain tauren finally having a proper moosekin form. I recall how bum-shattered I was when I found out they had antlers on all forms except the one that actually should have had them, but now I’m enjoying my character again.

You spelled Northrend wrong, dear.

I got Loremaster of Cataclysm!

Now, just Kalimdor, Outland and Northrend to go. Surprisingly, the faster levelling at 60-90 actually was a detriment to me because I overlevelled Uldum. But honestly? Eh. It was nice to be able to roflstomp some mobs while helping Harrison Jones.

On a bigger note, doing Loremaster has really opened me up to so many little nooks and crannies this game has in terms of locations for RP.
