Well that’s the problem isn’t it; because often in movies/series/games ‘getting drunk of your rocker’ is made to be ‘cool’. They are promoting such horrible behaviour and have been for centuries because it’s a big industry that makes people billions.
I’ll freely admit I’m an extremist when it comes to my hatred towards alcohol and I feel absolutely justified in feeling that way.

I don’t think alcohol is fun.
People who get tipsy or worse are no fun at all as far as I am concerned.
I’d rather see a person get stoned than drunk (not that I’m promoting drugs; I don’t do those either).

And let me feel how I feel because of the stuff I’ve encountered/survived/lived through in my life.
They already have, partially, due to EU law. In the Brewfest, for example, the Wolpertinger quest is gone and we only get alcohol-free samplers.
It is a shame that these quests are gone, I absolutely loved the drunk Redridge gnoll run when I was levelling my warrior back in BC. It was an awesome class quest.
