After being super empowered by the jailer who created the lich king
Intresting choices care to elaborate
Yeah, letâs pull a plot point right out of our bum with no build up and destroy a legacy character for the sake of creating one of, if not the, worst stories that have ever been written in the Warcraft Universe.
The Jailer was a complete Joke. They ruined Bolvar in Shadowlands, among other characters, in a plot that was less enjoyable than drinking orange juice after brushing your teeth.
And then there are people like you who defend that crap. What can I even say.
Itâs an extreme hope that theyâd somehow âreverseâ Shadowlands and BFA somehow. Religate them to story options that you can go talk to Chromie about.
It really is a farse how often Horde characters die while the Alliance are still sitting on their original roster bar Varian. Even Magni is still walking about. Mekkatorque had his head kicked in by the Horde and is still âonly in a comaâ for some reason. Why??
Perhaps, after Dragonflight and the inevitable next Void engagement (please, oh please let them wait til the new expansion. Non of the same âtwistsâ that plagued WoD, BFA and even ShadowlandsâŠ) we find out weâve been dreaming and that Nâzoth isnât actually dead.

Saurfang imho should had been the first orc paladin
Like the Night Elves, this would still require a massive amount of lore overhauling. Orcs and Night Elves would not weild the light, and so their entire animation kit would need to be redone.

I am curious, which characters with potential do you think where butchered in the lore?
All of them.
Edit: Except maybe Garrosh man saw how crap the story is and disenchanted himself from life.
Everyone the Horde lost since Warcraft 3.
The Lich King is overrated. I am glad he was humiliated by my favorite character.

Edit: Except maybe Garrosh man saw how crap the story is and disenchanted himself from life.
Well, he did himself a favor.

I am glad he was humiliated by my favorite character.
Your favorite character is also overrated. She got clapped by a random adventurer and then humiliated in a public trial.
Most characters will eventually get this coming their way. Maybe itâs a problem with the writers not knowing how to handle a character with allot of history and just end up writing a cliche ending for them. Then againâŠthese new DF chars are also a snooze fest. None of them are memorable at all. If i had to pick a char that got butcheredâŠ
Sally Whitemane. When she was turned into an undead, she accepted it pretty much immediately and that is just poor writing. She was devoted to destroying everything undead and not even a minute of agony about her faith. Even Lillian Voss was struggling with her undeadness.
The Scarlets overall got shafted pretty badly and were one of the few interesting factions in the game.
People forget that just killing a character for shock value is basically bad writing. I wish Game of Thrones would have never become so popular so writers from other franchises wouldnât get inspiration from it.
They did Arthas dirty. But my biggest gripe was always KelâThuzzad.
He went from the chad loyal to the end evil sidekick. To a âoh Arthas, the Lich King? I never even liked that guy. lol - I serve the jailooorâ
To this day I am still annoyed that his arc in the Shadowlands wasnât him just biding his time to save Arthas from the Jailer, joinking his Kingâs soul from his captor and just escaping into the eather.
Then you could make a realm in the Shadowlands, a Kingdom of the Undead, where Arthas as the true Lich King could rule forever more, yet forever bound as an entity of death in the realm of death. His redemption: Arthas as the damned soul he is, becomes the King of the Damned for all eternity. To his right stands KT, cackling and laughing, stroking Bigglesworth.
Then we shouldâve left it at that.
Then have blizzard as a company make it a legal clause to never ever touch Arthas again.
Instead⊠we got KT being stupid and Arthas becoming disenchanted in the most boring cinematic known to man - with perhaps the worst lines I have heard since âHi mark.â
Okay so ignore the lore then whine about said lore got it
Arthas was a villain and deserved his fate. Sylvanas will return to Azeroth once her community service is done. Cope.
You could argue the same you argue about Sylvanas about Arthas.
First mission in March of the Damned is clarified Arthas soul whas first feed from Frostmourne. So you could condemn him about Stratholme, about killing the mercenaries while trapping his soldiers and for wounding Muradin.
All after it could be argued by being Nerâzhuls fault.
Sylvanas destroyed one nation(Teldrassil). Arthas destroyed three (Dalaran, Lordaeron and Quelâthalas) and tried with a fourth(Gilneas). He was much much worse then Sylvanas could ever hope to be. She totally deserves to come back to the story at any given point.

tried with a fourth(Gilneas
Which was done by Sylvanas in the end.
Please Erevien, donât restart your âMuh qweenâ campaign here^^
The people of Gilneas were not killed. They were turned into Worgen and fled to Stormwind.
Those who were not killed^^
No nation was destroyed. That is alliance propaganda.
