Preach new video explains my feeling towards SL as a whole

It appears that the key issue was that once Preach’s guildies had beaten Mythic Denathrius, they were simply not motivated by anything else, until new content drops…and since they are all well known as elite players, they will have no problem walking into a new Guild, when new content does drop.

While I understand Preach being salty about the situation, particularly since he missed the kill by only about half an hour…it does have to be pointed out, that those players were running the Guild on a day to day basis, because Preach was unable to allocate enough time to organisational matters, therefore if they now chose to focus on other things, I think Preach taking that on the chin and reflecting that he had a good run with that team, even if he didn’t get the last boss, is the correct thing to do…frustrating as that is bound to be…hopefully another Guild will at least give him a guest slot, to complete the raid.

That said, I think it would have been rather less ruthless, if the Guild had made sure Preach got a Mythic Denathrius kill as well, the publicity they have received from his channel in the past, was good promotion of their skillz…would one or two more Mythic Denathrius runs, really have been too much trouble?

FatBoss has enough publicity and contribution to the wow community (Preach is in the same guild fyi)

Never said they didn’t…still think it was the kind of shabby move, which tends to confirm casuals’ opinion of the elite demographic.

From the video, there is element that some members not enjoy this tier/raid, but also Preach mentioned that ppl burned out of maw, torghast, and loot.

Overall, the video may largely present the reason for a hight end guild, but it is definitely not only exist in the 1%.

SL has many problems beyond mythic raiding or high keys. To ppl around me who stopped or played much less since new year, the number one issue is SL just does not feel like WoW expansion. (the vibe does not like WoW). Number 2 is the time most ppl put in do not offer the worthry rewards which motivate them to keep going. (whatever type of player they are). Number 3 is Blizzard just keeps prioriting borrowed systems rather than focusing on the basics of 12 classes and 36 specs. On top of these three, there are more just pushed many around me to the point that they either quit or just take an indefinite break.

Like others said, Blizzcon online annoucement for 9.1 will be the final stop for many if things not change for better.

You are entitled to that opinion…I would simply point out that I am enjoying Shadowlands, probably because not obsessing about the cookie cutter meta and constantly pushing to get ‘everything’ done, means I am unlikely to burn out.
Not to mention the fact that WoW is a vast game, with many different components, so even in content droughts or when some aspects of the game do not engage me, I still have plenty of things I enjoy doing.

Preach’s guild was the FatBossTV guys when they decide to fold and stop playing there’s something seriously wrong

oh you mean the guys that said in their older videos that there should be more difficulty above mythic so top raiders have something to do and wow should have more you can mix maxing for? the guys that literally played CN constantly on beta for days? ofc you get burned out when you play the same thing daily for over 7 month now without anything new.

btw. even in their past they disbanded their guild usually every expansion once. happened at the end of cata. then in mop during ToT and in Warlords too. I really like their videos and guides and they also sound like really chill people, but they do not have the best track record when it comes to keeping a guild for a long time.

They raided only 3 days at week.

i am talking about the fact that they played the content on beta and alpha for months and now on live. ofc people will get burned out from it. and just because they raided 3 days a week does not mean they don´t play it on the other days

You do know CN was not “open” on Beta 1 or 2 bosses were available for an hour once every odd week and then there was a multitude of bugs were they either didn’t spawn or they were unplayable and riddled with bugs. Raid boss “testing” on Beta was very limited like a total of less than a days play for all 10. Its nothing to do with Burn out, they only killed Denathrius last week .

they had multiple test runs for all bosses. so you got way more than “a day” and they also played thorgast and shadowlands in general for months. thats the point.

and as said before

Peach has no idea how the game, wow community or Blizzard business works.
