But how does that fix the problem that we currently have the cast time and atonement uptime is a problem yes but the classes that benefit out of this nerf are the same classes that currently play well into disc any class that can cc them for extended periods of time as they won’t be able to get mindblast out after a cc chain with the reduced cast time been easier to kick and atonement’s most likely needing to be put up again.
Vs classes that can not currently deal with voidweaver they will still just stand there casting void blasts faster than their global cooldown and people will still be using software to make sure they get void blast casts off faster.
again its blizzard missing the mark as long as the spec can top the entire team by using 2 schools of spells half of the roster that does damage with spread pressure will be useless you still have to stop a Destro lock if its playing with a disc you can still be shut down by a rogue while they spam it you can still just put rift out vs pet classes and become immortal same as fistweaver was doing.
The nerfs should be 10% for trinity when playing voidweaver as its an indirect nerf to oracle if you do it this way and entropic rift does not heal from pets and aoe in PvP also the snare from entropic rift should be nerfed for disc only and it should be a 30% snare so you can actually jump out of collapsing void and kite it.
If collapsing void was single target only on the target you casted mindblast on then rot classes would be able to play again it’s strange that it’s allowed to hit multiple people and pets for over 3 million even when you are in cc and just top the entire team.
It’s just a straight up balancing for pro play this change won’t effect what the spec is currently doing to 2v2 and shuffles.

Good that they are doing something but it shouldnt take this long to have attempt at balance in game, also I highly doubt that nerf is even enough.
Thats just nerf on the clouds slow and small nerf on trinity cast speed and divine procession is not even dmg its atonement duration talent.
Vw is op cause dmg and only thing that even targets dmg on this nerf is that 20% less cast speed from trinity which is way too little to make big enough effect to kill the way how this vw is used with destro and the like.
Also “bringing the build more in line with other healer” is not even remotely going to happen when other healers have to choose whether they heal or do dmg like rsham example, while this vw continues to do dmg and heal at the same time. This is way too small nerf and took way too much to get even this little.
With how they nerfed disc, expect the MM nerf to be “arcane shot damage reduced by 15 %”. And it will drop in Midnight.
To be fair. I’m not sure it’s enough to make Disc play Oracle and be the real healer
Absolutely this. Look at this vw nerf and notice how its not even going to change much nothing. Damage is the issue that comes from 4set.
20% nerf on cast speed on trinity does not make it ramp up its cloud too much worse and does not make ppl want play other heals.
It does not make game more fun to play something vs these destro+x+vw comps that position so that nobody has any good target in the game and it wont be enough to remove vw from shuffles.
The big picture is just so lost and even on basic level this nerf does so little its tilting wait this long to get nothing.
It makes no difference whether smite/void blast is cast at 0.9 sec or 0.7 sec speed. My smite/void blast is 0.9sec on dummy without PI or trinity so I’m good even without trinity and this nerf does nothing on vw dmg in general.
Just put nerf on vw disc’s 4set bonus with templates in pvp and call it a day, thats from where the dmg comes and they can ramp entropic rift big with 0.9sec cast void blasts just fine, they dont need that trinity bonus for it.
They evaluated their thoroughfully collected data from the last 3 months and came to the conclusion “they cast very fast don’t they”.
Then 20% nerf on cast speed buff from trinity that amounts nothing when theyre casting 0.9sec speed even without the trinity buff in 2v2 if you play with dps that has no pet. They needed nerf 4set bonus that enables this entropic rift heal/dmg with two button rotation. They needed to nerf pvp template on vw disc 4set bonus but they didnt do that. They need to go back to the drawing board and think again. This tuning changes nothing.
Such a meme nerf,after 1months of waiting for something to happen ,we get this.Also no other class tuning ,i guess evetything else is fine.

The dev team just hate MW so much so they did the omega nerf on this spec. BUT they have love on disc so giving this meme nerf to comfort us.
I suggest giving 100% or 200% damage buff on voidweaver, so we can see 3x3voidweavers fighting each other in AWC. It must be so interesting:D
If you could play with more than one healer in arena, 100% there would be people playing double or triple Disc comps.
