PSA: Party Sync

Ah ha. You doubt. But are not certain. I need certainty. Thornroot didn’t raise you to come here without solid facts. Shame!

Watch Blizzard claim this to be exploit abusing and all the people being mad at it, as soon as this goes viral

How is this an exploit, though? I could understand it if someone had been syncing and un-syncing continuously to hand in a quest for a lot of XP, but this is just using the feature in its intended way.

There must always be a :poop: poster to balance out the :bulb: poster.

It’s all about the balance…

They might nerf the exp somewhat, but I really doubt anyone will get suspended for exploits. This isn’t like the flask exp potion or anything, where you had to go really crazily out of your way to abuse it and stack it up to 50 times.

It’s a lot better than 3x xp from old recruit a friend.

Hold on, I which am I?

It’s evident to me that they’re supporting it, even – they specifically implemented chests from low quests for people with a higher level so that they’d also get a reward usable for themselves.

The experience is much on the same level as TW, from what I hear; that’d mean they’d have to start banning people for spamming TW too. They’d probably just reduce experience gained, as you say.

im sorry…but it is evident . . .

… We should be allies!

Yo would it work with draenor treasures and bonus areas?

Lvl another horde char? I’m game.

I don’t actually know, maybe? I’ve not tested it and I can’t due to not having a character around that range.

Questing seems to work, too! Heirlooms scale down, but from my experience they don’t give more bonus experience. Mobs do seem to give more experience - my buddy got 200 experience whereas I got 476 experience.

The low level quests give me the same amount of experience as the ones in Kul Tiran, so questing works. Heirlooms scale down, but don’t reward bonus experience for quests (or they’d need to be available at your non-scaled level?).

This is interesting. So I could join my lvl 50 friend in Durotar (which scales to 60 now) and level my 110 with the quests there? Crazy if true.

Correct! It’s also very quick - Cataclysm makes quests very simple and to the point, and with two people you can rush through it very fast. It certainly beats Kul Tiran leveling!

It may well be viable to do 1-120 through EK/Kalimdor zones.

Awesome, can’t wait to ding 120 in the starting zone.

Hopefully this won’t be “fixed” overnight.

You being able to quest in low level zones and get XP from it is working as intended. Dungeons and things like legion invasions seem overtuned for it, though.

So I just finished levelling my DH from 110-120. Couple of heirlooms, not all of them - wasn’t using Party Sync though and had no additional buffs elsewhere. All I did was quests and a couple of assaults… I estimate it took me < 5 hours to do in total. I don’t know what’s changed, maybe it’s because I’ve been in Classic for a while, but I swear it wasn’t this quick before.

That said I can appreciate getting terribly bored of the same old Kul Tiras zones so any chance of doing it anywhere else is commendable.
