I’m going to use it so hard for alts I’ve not touched since end of BfA to relearn them with all the talents swapped around, skills redesigned dozen times over.
Don’t worry bro you’ll need it for your mains in 11.2 when they decide to do another 6 class reworks and completely revamp everyone’s talent trees again.
But yeah, a rotation learner, even one that is by design “sub-optimal” is so utterly necessary in WoW now that’s its sad. Most player can’t even perform at 40% efficiency with their class, Blizzard’s balancing will probably get better overall when most players are performing at least above 50% and closer towards 70% because they’ll have a much more accurate statistical basis for what’s causing issues where.
As long as they don’t have my beloved man of sword summon 4 axes out of nowhere, and instead my guy just swings his sword really hard in animations, I don’t cyare.
An Alliance-centric patch for an Alliance-centric expansion. One Horde race (actually neutral) had its day in the limelight, and now the Horde is back to irrelevance.
Let’s not assume too much based on a single title. “The Legacy of Arathor” could go in all sorts of directions, it could refer to the Arathi Highlands and Stromgarde, or it could refer to the Hallowfall Arathi and advance their story. While the Hallowfall Arathi are still Alliance-themed in my opinion, it would be less Alliance-centric than a Stromgarde-focused story. Even then, such a story could still feature the Horde somehow, by bringing the Arathi Highlands mag’har into the picture.
There’s also Midnight on the horizon, likely coming out within a year, which will feature the blood elves and hopefully be more Horde-centric, even if the more “monstrous” elements of the Horde (orcs, trolls, tauren) will probably not feature in it. So, there’s still a chance for Horde focus and Horde themes in the near future.
I mean, I’m pretty sure this is about the Arathi in Hallowfall. So yes, Alliance-centric but that’d be really odd if it’s somehow connecting Arathi Highlands/Stromgarde? Also, as a .7 patch I don’t imagine there being much to it anyway, maybe a short questline? Maybe something capping off the Hallowfall Arathi being an expedition force from some other Arathi place.
Given how Thoradin and Thoras were both vrykulaboos who loved wearing furs and being vikings, truly we can see that the orcs are the TRUE inheritors of the Legacy of Arathor.
I mean, Arathi are deeply Alliance core. Playing your human, elf or most other alliance races feels kosher there.
Being and orc, troll, forsaken feels real weird.

Also half of Undermine story was surrounding the Alliance Goblin. Who has become the national hero of all the goblins.
I love that for Alliance. They just can’t help but save everyone
Not to mention Matthias Shaw is involved in Undermine more than any Horde character save Gazlowe whose only claim to being Horde is that he’s the only relevant Goblin character left and, as a result, the Default Racial Leader. Bro was otherwise neutral for 20 years.
I did actually know about Renzik - but mostly because you go to train your skills as a rogue, see an ugly goblin in the corner, only natural to think, What’s he doing there, what is he up to man.
Then you learn about SI:7 and then you get everything else. If I remember correctly he’s even the introducer to SI:7?
And Undermine itself is a melting pot of cultures. With your pandaren takeaways and every other dystopian city reference they could slam into it. It never gives off Horde vibes, not once, unfortunately.
A very strange argument. What is a Horde vibe in a faction so eclectic with everything from frankenstein’s zombie town to elf venice? It’s highly goblin.
Yeah - Undermine is as horde coded as any troll patch. Like sure it’s not orcs all the time but Goblins and specifically the cataclysm tileset industrial goblins are very horde coded.
It’s story is about a former horde leader having a conflict with a current horde leader. That there’s a weird member of the race that is friends with the Alliance doesn’t make it not-horde any more than Baine hanging out with Anduin makes stuff not Alliance coded.
