“We dont care for your feedback - are you too poor to buy a boost ?”.
Imagine how you managed to make it actually worse now then it already was.
Its like - yeah we know some may be more willing to buy 1 boost for jastor ring then 3 boosts so we adapt - now you only have to buy enough wow tokens for 1 mythic gally boost
Not that I want to take sides here but most if not all mythic raiders do M+ as well…at least +10s for the vault. Myth track vault at least 4/8(min) every week is a very common requirement in most mythic raiding guilds.
Closely follow these comments too then!
You can polish this piece of crap as much as you like, end of the day, its still a piece of crap!
Have a little bit of respect for the playerbase and stop rubbing your greedy little hands together in glee thinking about token sales!
The one major issue people had was myth track gear being locked behind myth track bosses, and you’ve gone, “if we change that, we wont make as much money sad face”, so we’ll change some of the lesser issues, pat ourselves on the back for a job well done and call it a day!
Unbelievable
This is the worst follow-up ive seen in a while. Giving Heroic Raiders or M+ Players that cannot Mythic raid because their Guild just simply doesnt progress it access to a BIS Myth Item 3 Months!!! into the season will not break the game in any form at all. Instead it ENCOURAGES people to continue playing instead of quitting 1.5 Months in like in S1.
Use your Brain and do the only right thing and give people who have earned AOTC access to Myth track pieces (you seem to have no issue giving Normal raiders Hero track aswell)
Really disappointed, because so far it has been an amazing season but stuff like this ruins it for me.
You say you have been closely monitoring it, but you really havent.
The major issue people have is leaving M+ community under the bus. For us, our ONLY source of Myth track gear upgrades is the Vault Slot Machine. Nothing else.
Basically. The Vault is SUPPOSED to be the “bad luck protection” for Mythic Raiders. And you feel the need to add an additional level of “protection” via deterministic tokens. I get it.
What about M+ pushers? Lets make a list here:
Myth track gear drops from dungeons: NO.
Tier set drops from dungeons: NO.
Items from M+ are 5% more powerful than any equivalent: NO.
Do we have cantrips: NO.
Our ONLY way of acquiring Myth track gear is from the Vault Slot machine.
So sure. You can give Raiders all the things you think are OK. But:
If you create Raid items that are significantly more powerful, then you need a way for others to acquire it via alternative means. OR… balance out weapons and trinkets such that the M+ alternatives are not so bad.
You want to give Raiders determinisitc bad luck protection? Then ALSO give M+ a way to get it. For example: The 6 tokens from the vault should be able to buy you 1 upgrade from Hero to Mythic. Giving you 1 guaranteed myth track item (that you first have to farm in Hero) per week.
But basically. If you want to keep this token thing, you need to throw the M+ enjoyers a bone. If you dont, you will continue to get backlash.
How about buffing the M+ trinkets to put them on par with the Raid ones? And now all M+12 keys drop Myth track items. Why dont we do that? THEN you can keep your dinars for raid only…
Because THAT was the point of all the feedback. It has nothing to do with power-level and/or time gating it.
Yes we are disappointed, or at least I am for two reasons. First of all you treat us like we’re some bunch of stupid people with your statement of “if we gave you these items youd never replace them in s3”. How is that even an issue? Surely we have technology available that allows to change items for next season
Second of all you’ve called these items dinars in multiple interviews. Everyone thought they’d work like they did in previous expansions cos why wouldn’t they? If this was your intention from the beginning you could’ve said that you’re bringing bonus rolls back in a new form instead of calling them dinars and baiting majority of the community.
Lastly I think it’s funny that after few rough years and very bad PR you finally managed to hit a jackpot. Good raid, fun classes, super fun m+ season, one of the best new zones in the game, few bugs here and there but it was too good to be true so you had to fumble it in a classic blizzards style
It doesnt hurt anyone if people can buy 2 or 3 mythic items, even if they didnt kill any mythic boss. You are creating a problem without a logical reason.
And your arguments are not really solid.
a) If dinars are only serving as bad luck protection for the difficulty a player is raidig, why are lfr and nhc raiders allowed to buy hc items? Are HC raiders worthless players for you?
b) Where are dinars for M+ Mythic Items? Dont these players deserve a bad luck protection aswell?
I really hope you guys are closely monitoring our feedback and finally lift these stupid restrictions a lot of people are unhappy with. Let us get more gear and power so late in the season. You really started this season well with the nice tuning, but now you guys are ruining this season in no time.
This might be an unpopular take, but I think this is actually a really good system. The game isn’t fun if everyone is just running around with a myth track house of cards and jastor diamond. I play this game for the little bit of dopamine I get when I ‘earn’ an item, and it’s ok that there are items I may never earn.
The idea of bad luck protection is really good. It does happen that it can feel like we’ve rekilled a boss for weeks and a specific item never drops, and this fixes that.
The one concern I have is say if I kill heroic One Armed Bandit and then take the hero track house of cards using a dinar. Then later in the season I kill mythic One Armed Bandit, can I then upgrade the hero track house of cards to the myth track one without spending a second dinar? Otherwise people will feel the need to hold their dinars which will not be fun.
I think that’s because players can get hero-track gear from vault for running Delves solo, so any reward below hero-track is pretty disappointing to any player who’s even half trying to decently gear up.
I’m not sure why they’re so dead set on limiting myth-track gear to mythic raiders though, people who aren’t doing mythic raiding now won’t start doing it for these items, and is not having to farm for trinkets in S3 really such a game-breaking problem?
I’m a low tier mythic raider. My entire BiS gear (except for set and the two mandatory crafted slots) is locked behind the final three bosses. These chips were my only chance to ever see a non-set BiS item.
They are worthless for me, because they can’t get me any item I still need. There isn’t even any bad luck to protect me from, because I don’t have a chance in the first place.
If you do stuff like that, distribute the loot throughout the raid better.
U guys never learn, u had the most amazing season s2 m+ wise also kind raid wise. Then u do this stunt again u really wanna go back to shadowlands like the plague. Just give us dragonflight s4 currency it’s that simple.
This!! I don’t really care about raiders getting a bad luck protection or getting myth track raid items myself, but then at least let M+ players have an equivalent as well for the content the’re doing.
Only getting (maybe) 1 myth track item per week is frustrating as hell and those chips are basically worthless for me in their current form.
They don’t just want everyone to RUN Mythic content, they require people to FINISH it.
I am raiding Mythic, yet the chips are worthless for me, because almost my entire BiS gear, except for set items, embellished crafts and boots, is locked behind the final three bosses (both rings, both trinkets, neck, belt, pants). That alone is a major itemization screwup these chips might have fixed or at least alleviated.
