Doing something wrong? What do you mean about that. Do you mean that if a warrior is out doing quests and get attacked he/she is doing something wrong?
So reading all this i come to the Conclusion that a Warrior needs to build a Raid group when wanting to pick up some Herbs or do some Mining in Open World etc.
Also you CAN NOT leave any Safe City or Hub without having an explicit Rune equipped and the other ones are Completely forbiden until u reach another safe heaven or Instanced Area.
Also a Warrior needs to hide in the darkest Corners to Move around Savely in case because how dare u getting attacked and pulled into a 1v1 while beeing alone at the moment.
And also not forget you need to have a Set of Pots and a Certain Profession + its Items to have a small Chance of Winning and everytime you get attacked you invest 2G or more while your Enemy is spending 20% of his Mana Bar.
Ohh yeahh you also need to farm/craft very Specific Items to improve you Chances.
(Said items are also available for the Other Classes btw)
Soo overall @Trollskog, seems nice to play Warrior.
But hey dont worry, you can Carry other Classes through the Raid so they can get geared bEcAuSe YoU aRe ThE bEsT cLaSs
No class or spec can go out in the open and expect to slay in pvp. Imagine a balance druid without starsurge or a feral druid using healing runes instead of the feral runes. Enhancement shaman with healing runes will also not slay I’m pvp.
Pots and other consumes are there to give you an upper hand. If you chose not to use them, then don’t complaint.
But a warrior is not doing something wrong when 1v1 ing out in the world. I’ve seen videos of warriors woj consumes and right runes absolutely slay in 1v1 and even 1v2 fights in the open world.
But this isn’t Classis. Its SoD.
Warlocks can’t Tank in Classic but they can do so in SoD.
Why can’t a Warrior not be a Training in Dummy in Open World in SoD?
Quite the dumb assumption there to show you’re just as clueless as the op and if you’d actually ask me, you’d know i also think starsurge needs a fix, starting with adding a cast time to it and fixing it’s range.
I however will be still playing feral and looking forward to lvl 60(yes 60!) and with all the datamined runes it’s looking insanely strong, but so do other specs in this wotlk lite of a game mode we’re getting.
You’re generalizing, play the game, get some xp, adjust to the new changes. Anyone who played classic before expected thing to be as they are. Warrs didn’t have intercept at lvl 25 and they didn’t change it. Now if you’d asked that, i’d support you. But then again they gave them warbringer. If you choose not to use it, who’s fault is it then?
u keep refering to how things are in classic. this isnt classic. season of discovery is all about changes, not “no changes”.
if u want an exanple; hunters in p2.
warriors can change.
im rooting for plateranger
Classic with extra abilities =/= Classic with completely different mechanics.
Same response to you.
Slight difference, melee hunter is a thing in retail and melee weaving was a thing in Classic. There was NEVER any such thing as a range-weaving warrior.
How about you pick one forum avatar and stick to it instead of trolling on two.
Its LITERALLY NOT just Classic.
as said before SoD is about Changes.
If Warlocks and Rouges can suddenly Tank, then its surely not too much asked for if someone wishes the Warrior to have more possibilities to defend himself in Open World PvP.
Oh? So Season of Discovery ISN’T an extra realm under the ‘CLASSIC’ folder?
Extra abilities, new raids and new quests. Not ENTIRELY reworked classic mechanics.
Evasion tanking was always a thing, it just wasn’t effective.
You can give warriors as many abilities as you want, it doesn’t matter. The core issue with solo warrior PVP is the way that rage works. Without completely reworking the rage mechanic, a warrior is going to struggle solo.
You can give warriors spell reflect, die by the sword, reduced cooldown on shield wall/retaliation, enraged regenration and god-knows how many other defensive abilities, it isn’t going to change how many of them you can even use with limitted rage in a solo environment.
Furthermore, warriors are already godlike in groups. The drawback to godlike is groups is that we’re garbage solo, that’s a fair trade.
And to the 5th guy; adding abilities =/= changing entire mechanics.
You Keep saying something that just isnt true and insisting on it.
SEASON OF DISCOVERY IS NOT JUST CLASSIC !
There are indeed absolute new Mechanics.
And i can see your way of thinking is Limited but there are other ways to solve an Issue than just adding more Retail Abilities everyone already knows like you mentioned.
Add something new, make a refreshing Change. Add something New and Innovative.
And no its not my Job to define what exactly to do. There are People inside Blizzard who literally get Paid to do exactly that.
If everything you can do is just repeating the same Quote then just move forward to another Thread. You arent adding anything new. You shared " your opinion " and thats enough then.
Classic with spinkles. When you add sprinkles to your icecream you don’tcompletely alter the ingredients used to make the actual icecream part. It’s still made of cream, milk, sugar etc etc.
So rogues don’t use energy, mages don’t use mana, druids don’t shift forms and Shamans don’t use elemental magic any more?
Adding something new isn’t going to change the way that rage works.
I’m telling you that the limitting factor of Warriors in solo play is the rage mechanic and that isn’t going to change.
It’s not my fault if you’re too dense to realise that.
