The only thing I care is that i passed my command on a late saturday morning and it was there on sunday morning , incredible.
You rather want wow to first be killed by Japan, and then Amazon? I don’t get it.
MMORPG* not RPG. There’s no way RPG players in the first place are heavily vested in MMOs. Look at the popularity of older RPG games.
However - New World looks like a pretty lackluster game, and I hate Amazon in the first place.
Further, there are reports of it frying 3090 (specifically 3090, 2080 are fine). Imagine playing a lackluster beta and having your computer ruined.

Fat doubt. It’s gonna take way more at this point. MMOs are not as “in” today as they were 15-25 years ago. The people who lived with MMOs back then are the pioneers of massive online gaming, which has branched out in much more accessible directions than gathering 10-30 (later only 20 god damn if you gather more) for raiding. Into vast battle royale games, MOBAs, etc.
This is the same issue RTS games have. It was much more “in” when you look at -90s, -00s, and hell, even early -10s.

Blizz did that by showing us warcraft’s afterlife
anyone who does not play tens of thousands of dollars per year into New World will soon learn that ‘Whales’ dominate the endgame completely so unless you are a F2P casual then you will leave in frustration after wasting money to try and catch up
One Whale is worth ten thousand F2P or stingy players so don’t expect any request for balancing or game changing to be acknowledged, the company wants cash and to get that it needs to hook Whales
Once you learn the true pain of F2P games funded by Pay to Win cash shops you will almost certainly come back to whatever game you left where a modest subscription ensures quality of content, fair play balancing (as far as is possible) and continual content development
So WoW is primarily funded by the casual base of players not the top 1% who beat the top content in a week or two after release and then get bored while Blizzard has to spend months developing a whole new raid and loot tier (or two) .
This is why we have LFR - support to the masses of players that make up the subscription base who have real life issues to deal with, you know, regular gamers with a balanced perspective
I admire the 1% - don’t get me wrong - and I spent ages watching the current Race to World First to see how the top ten guilds get placed - I appreciate their skill level and dedication
But as a casual player who has experimented with all sorts of MMO’s I can only say that to avoid New World is simply the best advice you could follow

New world is just another hyped up mmo, because as per usual… mmo’s are hyped up for a bunch of people and die down after 1-3 months… who really cares. They are two very different games and most people come back to wow anyways…
This is true, we all remember the wow killers… rift, aion, tera, etc etc. Not MMORPG, more like MMORIP.

true alot of games failed to kill wow, but ffxiv dethroned it, does it need to be killed if its “bleeding” ?

Ff14 is an OK game. It did not kill or dethrone wow. Some “follow like and subscribe” dude made a couple of ppl check it out (sheep). You do realize it came out 11 years ago? I played it years ago as I like the FF franchise, it’s a fun game, but the pvp sucks and the grouped content aint great either. It’s great for the story (apart from the base game). I prefer the single player FF games.
I would advice ppl to play the free trial and not sub, simply not worth it.
I don’t give a damn where the money goes, all I want is a quality game made by people who at least act like they care about their customers.
if being ok means to dethrone 2 continents over night you know it might stay rank 1 (they also had asia the whole time
the pvp merchant made the pvp playerbase buy shadowlands but they did no pvp balancing
