Yeah right…all to avoid tensions within the Alliance.
Nah - we should absolutely see Night Elves and High Elves argue about this because they don’t see eye to eye on everything. Hell, Vereesa couldn’t have made herself more distant during the Suramar Campaign, calling her time of sharing a camp with the Night Elves, “desperate times, desperate measures.”
The story needs to be consistent and Blizzard should not be afraid to upset some Alliance fans of internal Alliance feuds.
Night Elf fan on another forum: They talk about her like she did some minor thing, as if her being punished is an inconvenience. But that’s just WoW I guess. Hope people don’t think this is realistic. Animosity and hate doesn’t just away like that. Forgiveness doesn’t come this fast. This is why Danath’s character in the previous patch was so weird, because it’s highly unrealistic and juvenile.
Yeah and then went on to Suspect Nightborne of Becoming another threat like Queen Azshara. They seem to bounce between the two points depending on plot.
Vareesa seems to be in the weird spot. She bounces from Adoration for Sylvanas even going as far as considering becoming Forsaken to painting Sylvanas in worst possible light when Alleria comes back. That’s ignoring her episodes like going from Jaina’s “Imprison everyone” to “Them living is optional” during the Purge of Dalaran.
It’s not to avoid tention. But to my feel I think it would upset the Horde player base if we do a deep dive on an Alliance conflict, rather than focusing on the “void issue”.
Tbh the best solution is to leave alliance and horde and let these non civilized creatures together. And focus to be the great neutral elvish nation : the quel dorei
I mean yes, as long as it won’t upset the Horde player base. Because the current criticism is that TWW was to heavily alliance focused. So I hope we get some Horde story to setoff the Alliance conflict. So they both get to shine
To me, the whole vibe of Midnight, because it’s just so “Blood Elf” and “troll” - it does feel like the Alliance really is just playing second-fiddle to the Horde…which is absolutely needed because the whole of this expansion has been the other way round.
Sometimes, it’s not about who is involved directly…but the themes and vibes of the zones. TWW felt more Alliance, because when all is said and done…it’s Humans and Dwarven themes.
I agree with you on that. That’s why I don’t know it would be wise to go into a deep dive with the Kaldorei and Quel’Dorei conflict. Maybe a brush of it. So it won’t be too heavily Alliance themed.
My take on it was more about the Elves that split from the Original High Borne elves in the old Kaldorei empire.
So:
High elves
Blood elves
Void elves
Nightborne
Arcane users in Night elven society (although I am not sure about this one, as it doesn’t feel right to me).
That’s how I understood it.
In addition I think it’s unlikely that High Elves would go Horde. They still, till this day hold a grudge against Blood Elves for exiling them. So I wonder how they will remediate that.
It was alliance Focused yes. But it was also so… Bland. There was not much substance. Bronzebeards were Bland picture perfect family. Not really much new came from it aside from Magni getting his Free from Jail card.
Alleria was just uninteresting for someone so conflicted and extremely one note in her kill Knaifu.
And don’t get me going about Anduin’s bemoaning of not being picture perfect Holy Boy. Like for the Light man, get a grip.
I know this won’t help you but I hope we get the silver equivalent of the golden staff of the Sin’dorei on alliance as mog OR that it is a world drop or so.
I have been gravitating towards Blue and Silver themes now with transmogs across the board for my velves.
