Quel’dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race - 2024 (Part 2)

That’s cool. And with updated outfit.

feel free to look up the twitter post by Ishura about the nethersent draenei. There Tul’amar, Thrice-Exiled starts with a: “Thousands of years separated from our kin on the Genedar has a away of carving rifts between us.”

Interesting.

That was done during Dragonflight when TWW was in production. The break happened within the War Within and was quite noticeable, hence why Haranir and Harandar were delayed.

But we want High Elves  which are alliance aligned. So its not really a trade. Its the Horde taking something from the Alliance, and the Alliance having something that already belongs to them.

Blood Elves for the alliance would be High Elves in essence. Think of it like Huojin and Tushi Pandaren. They would have everything you would want from a High Elf: the customization, the cultural history, the capital and region, non-void aesthetic. This would also fit with blizzards recent statements that new races are a thing they want to do less, so just giving the same race to the other faction opens up things. And if we are honest, if blood elves would be neutral, they would fit 99.99% of what people would have wanted from high elves anyway, except the tooltip that says blood elf instead of high elf.

It was a tongue in cheek comment for the most part.

Personally I always felt that the dranei would have been a better fit in the horde than BE. Obviously their lore might have been a bit different. An alien race, similar to the eredar demons.

“Misunderstood and cast aside, these diverse and powerful races strive to overcome their differences and unite as one in order to win freedom for their people and prosper in a land that has come to hate them.”

But thats just me.

I’m a VElf main and I want every bit of that, yeah.

I want to have the ability to have my VElves look like Alleria or Xal’atath. What’s your problem with that?

You want it too, given how you’re using High Elven eyes and BElf hair colours for your character.

If you checked this forum thread, people in here are specifically asking for a greater set of customization options for VElves that can accomodate their character better, rather than a brand new race altogether.

That’s a pretty incongruous analogy with what’s here.

Will you bloody stop with that.

I take it back about the racial. I hope you get nothing whatsoever. You dont deserve it.

If Vulpera were asking for customisation options to make them Worgen, we might have a better analogy.

They will not be adding a toggle to the racial. Think about it, do you really think they will go to all that work (and create a precedent) for a few roleplayers? They may replace the racial in future, or change it to do something else, but they won’t be giving Void Elves an on/off switch and if they do anything along those lines (of replacing or removing the racial) it will be for a good reason.

I mean how would they justify it?

“We’ve decided to give Void Elves the ability to be less Voidy, because of course that makes perfect sense.”

Bro, your entire input on everything has been that we don’t deserve more customization options from the get go. And that somehow, your opinion supersedes mine even though we’re both VElf players.

I’ll be pointing this out forever and ever - until you do the right decision and switch to Void Elven eyes and hair colours.

I’m not going to stop with that, you raging hypocrite. Have an ounce of shame and self-awareness.

Umm, nope.

These are completely valid void elf options that void elf npcs use.

Sorry about that. Theyre not high elf options.

Im free to use whatever I want.

You on the other hand… you’re not free to use what you want are you? :frowning:

Exactly my point. They remain Void Elves irrespective of the customizations added.

So I ask again - how does it ruin your vibe if we get the ability to have VElves that look like Alleria? You know - their racial leader? Or Xal’atath, for that matter.

We have that already.

Many on this thread use those options.

Alleria glows with the void in combat so keeping the racial seems pretty accurate.

We can play out any alleria fantasies as is.

Not with the customizations that we currently have, buddy.

I want my VElf Priest to look like Xal’atath, but I have no options for tattoos. Nor do I have the ability to have a non-greasy hair.

Same with Alleria - I want my Mage main to have the same theme like her, and have a hairstyle that again, isn’t greasy.

Maybe once void elves actually get some stuff tailored towards their actual racial theme.

OK. But in your brain, you imply that Void Elf ‘theme’ means that they need to be as freakish and ghoulish as possible. When in actuality, they’re pretty congruous with Blood/High Elven customizations as-is. Even moreso after the Shadowlands where they can look indentical to HElves.

Which is why I push on how you’re playing a character that is blonde, and has blue eyes. You’re not really tapping into what you’re preaching bro. You’re making use of the customization options that were added in specifically to placate HElf players back in Shadowlands after a community uproar. :))))

It’s very abstract thinking and difficult to grasp, I’m sure.

My character is ginger, not blonde. And their eyes are void purple, not blue.

And their theme is the more grungy greasy look.

They’re the emo elves. Their /silly even says so :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, you’ve changed it now, because they were High Elven blue. Cute - we’re getting somewhere and I like that. Hope to see the ginger colour gone and replaced by a BfA hair colour too, soon!

Also this is a VElf Demon Hunter. Very cool grunge-y and greasy look, for sure. Certainly no overlap with Blood Elves on that.
