Quel’dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race (Part 1)

we want highelves, original elves, like such as silver covenant highelves.

you can’t. You can look like blood elf, not highelf.

simply very true, as it was confesed that everyone were playing alliance, horde was dead. spo they made “pretty” race such as blood elves forced into horde…

I play a lot of Alliance as well as Horde and trust me when I say if we got dumb Blood Elf clones on the alliance I’d be so annoyed.

Lets leave aside that the Silver Covenant are pretty new, and only existed since WotLK in game -and- in lore! So do you want a reskin of Void Elves, which are a reskin of Blood Elves? We never really got that answer, did we?

And there is no physical distinction between the two. If you can look like a Blood Elf, you can look like a High Elf, and vice versa. Don’t even try to argue that point, Blizzard have stated this several times.

Not actually as true as you want it to be, to be honest.
But anyway, just your reminder that at the point of TBC, the Elves of Quel’thalas, High and Blood, were a Neutral Nation, and did not belong to Horde or Alliance.

Sorry to keep bringing lore and facts into it.

Same here as well. I’d be pretty livid. I’m happy Alliance got to customise their Void Elves so that they look like High Elves, but if they gave us another Allied race that looked identical, and gave the Horde something new instead, I’d see that as pretty unfair.

No, they ARE the canon-lore for your character’s origin, what you want it to be is the non-canon version. But character customisations should reflect the canon lore that is written into the game and the books.

But they are still the same race, they aren’t a new race just because they basically got the fantasy version of a performance enhancing drug like steroids.

Void elves are still just blood and high elves who learnt the arts of harnessing the void.

Remember only the first generation of void elves were changed by the ritual, but you can see normal high elves and blood elves coming to the rift in order to learn this power.

No, they aren’t. Your characters background is what you decide it to be.

You wouldn’t survive five whole seconds on an RP realm with that little imagination. This is a RPG

that’s non canon

canon is the official story

if canon is what I decide it to be, then my void elf is a void elf who looks exactly like a blood elf in every way… just stupid logic therefore I should have that option in game to look like that.

In actual “canon” we either don’t exist, or are just a generic “champion”

not true, I would point you to the cut scene from end of legion when we drain our artifacts of their power into the sword in silithus. You can see that there is an official lore character for each class, aka the highlord, the archmage etc…

ok so… there’s now what… 12 generic characters. Who are of any race, gender, birthplace, etc.

bruh just admit you lack the basic imagination to even comprehend that an elf can be from somewhere besides Sunstrider isle, or a human can be from anywhere besides Northsire abby

I can imagine very well actually which is why I’m pro void elf customisation additions. Imagination knows no bounds, so using ur logic, how can you be for the arbitrary restrictions of customisations for void elves??? If your blood elf can obviously start at level 1 in eversong but actually be from dalaran when it hits 50 then a void elf can clearly have absorbed void energy and still look normal.

I’m afraid mate you are the one here with contradicting logic. And I’d make the argument that void elves that look like high elves is already justified with canon lore anyway.

Alleria absorbed a void naaru and still has normal skin, hair and eyes.

So whether we say players can use imagination, and defy in game depictions of the lore then void elves could have blood elf looks because there are no rules or if we say we do have to abide by the in game representation of lore, then they STILL can have high elf customisation options because there is a precedent for normal looking void elves with Alleria.

Purple hair and skin void elves = original / 1st generation void elf

Normal hair, skin tones & blue eyes = 2nd generation / recruited void elf

the real truth here is that blood elf players are afraid to give Alliance a blood elf look alike because it will strip the Horde of a lot of players as, let’s be honest, most blood elf players would most likely have picked alliance if they could, horde was never about being regal, elegant or beautiful.

You cant obviously mean these things that come out of your mouth right? If you do im worried for you.

I’m pretty sure most of us are just against of alliance ripping off a race that has belonged to horde for multiple years. Get off your high horse.

I’m saying if players who picked blood elves had been given a choice when they made their character… get off your high horse…

No. You are in the wrong here not the other way around. Stop being entitled. Your supposed to be high elves only exist because you stole it from a HORDE race.

I love how you both only address that final point which was a hypothetical assumption, why don’t you try addressing something that was more factual / intellectual? I mean Erevien this entire thread, not only to me but to other high elf defenders as well, you’ve provided nothing but aggravated rheteric. If anyone sides with you, they’ve lost the argument.

There’s nothing intellectual here to address.

It’s been 14 years or so im sure those players are perfectly happy being horde now or have made themselfs a void elf by now.

within the context of the debate, not necessarily whether you think the topic is worthy of discussion in the first place.

yeah because this high elf mega thread hasn’t caught traction at all has it about 10 times over…
