Jakafo I absolutely love your guide. I am not obsessed with High elves I must say, I just wanted hair color variety and hairstyles for my Voidy, but I would never oppose the addition of separate High elves ofcourse. Indeed the concept of RP’ing in a LOTR style while looking like a High elf is very appealing indeed, and I can easily see it rekindling my lost interest in the game as a High elf RPer.
Did you miss the part where highmountain tauren established a horde encampment in Drustvar, or where the horde forces in Stormsong are initially being led by a Highmountain warrior until Rexxar swoops in and steals the spotlight?
It’s a bit ridiculous to expect the HMT to have done countless more given their relative infancy in the horde and the fact they are of limited numbers given one of their largest tribes the bloodtotem got massively reduced. Yet they are still doing their bit.
What would they need to do to prove themselves? Apparently leading manouveurs into enemy territory is not enough. Should they be soloing the alliance army?
I get you’re arguing with Kim whom is a cow but that’s no excuse to draw wierd lines in the sand about who deserves to be in the horde because he has misguided ideas about belf legitimacy. The horde was never about earning your spot, it was about a union of necessity and mutual benefit. Even if it were about earning it, the HMT have done their bit in being involved in horde military moves absolutely.
Also let’s use our common sense yeah. You have this race of ten to eleven foot cow men whom are built like brickhouses and great at survival in rugged terrain, providing for themselves and foraging. They’re also pretty handy in a fight and have giant eagles. They say they want to join their fellow cow men brothers in your horde. You’re gonna say no to them because they haven’t proven squat apparently? Yeah right.
Let’s not forget if we suspend game mechanics for one second each HMT warrior is capable of smashing several human soldiers into bits so there is no way the horde is going to decline their entry. Particularly as due to Hulns influence (and we see this with both the bloodtotem and the Skyhorn) the HMT are much more ready and willing to fight and involve themselves in battle because the whole basis of their patriarchs legend is his bravery in battle and willingness to put himself in harm’s way. You can see this daredevil attitude with Lasan Skyhorn. So yeah, ten to eleven foot cow men whom are quite willing to fight, nobody saying no to that.
You wanna talk which races need to pull their finger out? Pandaren. I don’t see them leading any incursions or establishing outposts and they’ve been in the horde how long now? Still cashing in their “we can train monks” card I guess?
Iam not a cow so watch your toung peasant. And i have no misquided ideas about gelf legitimacy as all i said is true just cause you can accept the truth.
Your profile avatar, in case it wasn’t clear. Clearly you’re some kind of lord/lady in real life if you use phrases like “watch your tongue peasant”, that or someone who thinks spending a tenner at Waitrose a week makes them firmly middle class.
Either way my point stands. Your idea on elven legitimacy in horde boils down to “they don’t fit, because reasons”. I mean feel free to point me in the direction of the contrary arguments you’ve made that differ from the above or some rough-hewn “horde is big and stronk, elf puny” argument. Im always happy to be corrected if I’m wrong.
In fairness I was being gently sarcastic. I know what the Highmountain are and do. I love the Skyhorn tribe. Lasan us such a dude. If there was an eagle mount in game I would so role one and RP as a Skyhorn.
They are a bit…underwhelming, this is true. It doesn’t even have to be all of their NPC’s, because to be fair, Taran Zhu is Shado-Pan, so likely to be busy doing his actual job in Pandaria, but to see more of Ji Firepaw and Aysa Cloudsinger would be nice. I mean Blizzard -literally- set up a Romeo and Juliet type scenario, with the Alliance and Horde replacing the Montagues and the Capulets. There was a lot of places that could have gone, but they just ignored it after setting it up.
What’s a ‘Gelf?’
Amusing thing is, despite being as poor as a church mouse (Well, OK, not that poor) is that I legitimately am Gentry IRL, so I -do- get to call people ‘peasants’. This said, they do also get to knock out my teeth for saying that!
No my profile avatar is perfectly clear as its a highmountain tauren wich has nothing to do with a cow it have neither cow hors or resemble a cow to begin with as the taurens in world of warcraft is based on the mythichal beast minotaur wich is a humanoid/beastman classification not lifestock. No your point dont stand as you have not made any point that is aside from showing your stupidity with your false acusations with nothing to back it up with. And i never once used the term " horde strong elf puny" as you can see by yourself by scrolling up but im guessing its to hard for you to actually read before accusing people of things as you just showed everyone with that stupid comment you made about me
What, 'Genetically Engineered Life Form?" from the British TV show ‘Red Dwarf’? or do you mean a contraction of ‘Gelfling’ from the film ‘The Dark Crystal’? Because I’m a little confused here, as they are the first two things that popped up?
I mean it kind of -is- your problem as there is no such thing as a ‘Gelf’ in Wow. They simply do not exist. Can you elaborate on what you mean by that term?
No it isnt my problem as its you who keeps asking about it instead of looking it up and yes there is a such thing called “gelf” just as mutch as there is “belf” cause belf is no word that is an official word recorded in wow
