Quel’dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race (Part 1)

That is rather a bizarre leap to make, from what I actually typed, having re-read it I am not sure where you get this impression that I was trying to encourage you towards a rather terminal act. Is it at all possible that you leapt into hyperbole and trying to respond as if I had exhorted you to self destruction, rather than simply pointing out that your attitude towards others leaves a lot to be desired?

Well, no, you don’t, because I doubt you have ranged telepathy. You do not know anything of the sort, and the reason I know you do not is that you entirely blindly ignored/did not know what I said.

The Paladin Player Class individual gets the Ashbringer. It does not matter if said character is a Paladin, a Blood Knight, a Sunwalker, a Prelate or whatever. It does not mean that -Your- character -is- the one who gets the weapon. The Hero of Azeroth does. I use the Thas’dorah model for my character, because it comes with a quiver and looks more realistic than carrying a bow and no arrows. It does not mean that Brigante Summerisle owns Thas’dorah, or ever did.

I agree with you on that point, the escalation of the player character to this all-singing, all-dancing paragon of the planet is a silly one that Blizzard can’t realistically maintain whilst still having us collect pieces of bears anatomy and such. If we were really that much of a ‘thing’ we would be able to pay a team of peasants to do it.

Again, I think you are putting rather too much credence into the idea that I actually think about you. That sounds harsh in blunt terms, but it is factually accurate. I don’t like the way you talk to people, that is true, but that is neither here nor there, it does not mean that I will automatically disagree with you if you make a good point, just on ‘principle’ in fact I just did agree with you in the last paragraph.

I have, for the record not in this thread or the last megathread -ever- said that High Elves should not be playable due to numbers, in fact I have argued the opposite, that whilst the High Elves are, according to Blizzard, a people in decline, ‘a race in name only’ being the exact words, that because of Elven longevity that simply does not matter, because without significant medical advances, neither WoW, or -US- as players, are going to be alive and gaming in this franchise at a point where that becomes an issue.

No, Because I am though. I am critical about your person. I do think you are unnecessarily abrasive and have a lack of empathy for other people, because of the way you post. I did not suddenly imagine that, I formed that opinion because of how you acted towards others. I’m not going to be ‘humble’ because I suspect what you mean by that is ‘Stop arguing with me, you know I am right’ So I am afraid I will not, I will counter your arguments when you are wrong, and I -will- upbraid you on your unnecessary attitude towards other people that you consciously display.

Of all the unnecessary words you use, they would hardly be the ones I would take you to task over, also, remember ‘You’ is impersonal, as well as Direct. I haven’t killed N’zoth, I’m actually finding it really hard to engage with content right now, as opposed to RP, -Someone- has, that much is certain. Wasn’t me. I also did not kill the Lich King fifty or so times trying to get that damned mount…

Actually, you’re rather amusingly wrong. Many people use the word ‘Toxic’ without understanding it, and it gets so -overused- that it kind of is losing its currency as a term. What I am being is -factual- and -Accurate-.

I do realise that in the days of modern politics being truthful and honest are rather alien concepts, but even so, if someone is being factually correct (Which is, lets all remember, the -best- type of correct) then that is not a character flaw. That is lacking a character flaw that others may have.

Ladies and Gentleman, and those who identify otherwise, I present to you, a new definition of the word “Irony”

Just as an observation, you have started to sound a lot more like Donny Trumpo since your Guild tag changed, is this a thing?

Well, no, there are. There are a small population of Elves who have renamed themselves High Elves. Its complex, but to try and put it in bulletpoints.
1.Exiles from Kalimdor=Call themselves Highborne, or Quel’dorei.
2.90% of population wiped out, survivors call themselves Blood Elves, or Sin’dorei
3.Exile happens, those Exiled rename themselves Quel’dorei

That’s the chronological order of it.

Are you alright? Your posting manner has completely changed recently, and your sentence structure also? Genuine question. I mean you still think that everyone has a blood elf main and they are working together in a conspiracy against you, but you are starting to use these weird endearing terms at the start of posts…It is a bit odd.

Given that both Jaina and Vereesa could be charged with about 50% of the specified War Crimes laid against Garrosh then, yeah, that would be pretty cool, Justice for the Horde!

Remember what I said about your attitude and how it leaves a lot to be desired?

NO you didn’t. You asked specifically for Silver Covenant, who rather amusingly, were not actually members of the Alliance unless it suited them. I mean you repeatedly did so, even after I kept saying “Are you sure you don’t mean High Elves?”

Read the lore, lad. They left the Alliance of Lordaeron at the end of the Second War. Quel’thalas has never been part of the Grand Alliance. Ever. At All.

Sure, short, pithy, and to the point. Alliance should get High Elves playable, I have always agreed with this stance.

Also true. I mean that is canon lore. The Nation of Quel’thalas are aligned with the Horde and call themselves Blood Elves. They -are- the true sons and daughters of that nation. The High Elves are traitorous exiles who placed another species and nation above their own. I mean that is what a High Elf -Is-.

Errr Nope.

High Elves were allied with the Alliance whilst the human Kingdoms were getting their act together. They remained such, until the end of the Second War, when they formally left the Alliance, along with Stromgarde and Gilneas. I’m just going to drop this in, that those nations were -right- and King Terenas II was completely -wrong-. If they had listened to Strom, Gilneas and Quel’thalas, there would not even -be- a Horde.

But yeah, no, they were not always with the Alliance, and the legal state of Quel’thalas is pretty famously -not- with the Alliance.

Don’t remind me of that High Elf fan who actually seriously posted that such a thing should happen! I mean there is being a fan of something, and then just going nuts!

Nah, they made a playable race that was Horde. Alliance wanted it. Alliance half got it. Not sure where the mathematics come into this.

Just get that bit through your head. Blood Elves -are- a Horde Race, and belong there.

Biologically identical.

Except you. And every person who has ever asked for a Horde race to be made playable on Alliance. I mean that is what you asked for. THalassian Elves are a Horde Race, you have literally spent years campaigning for a Horde Race to be playable on Alliance. That’s what this thread is about!

You don’t even know the lore of the species you ask for. I was mistaken to ever have thought that something sensible would come from this.

Yeah, this has now reached trolling levels…
