I got it this year, after trying for a long time, I also have Headless Horseman’s mount. I also got multiples of the Brewfest mounts this year about 8 altogether, the Kodo dropped more than the Ram, 5 to 3.
Got my love rocket first year of doing the event at max level (when it was max only), didn’t know it dropped so I don’t mind that surprise.
Deleted more HH mounts and brewfest rams than I want to count and only got the kodo in WoD so my luck was shoddy there.
That fox mount I got is apparently pretty rare… llothien prowler. I like it so I use it. someone told me it was hard to get. I didn’t even try, I just got it.
That’s al I know. I don’t really research these things so much.

I feel so bad now…i never run dungeons, but years ago, a friend of mine was asking me to tag along, my first timewalking ever and i got the mount. My friend didn’t speak to me for a long time…

Fun part: I only farmed for that 30 minutes to get it when I decided to farm for it. Can’t say I knew it was THAT rare.
That being said: if you can just buy it, it makes it a whole lot less rare. There’s more bodies thrown at it than just yourself.
Love rocket has a lower drop rate, the reason why more people might have it is because you used to be eligible for the bag that drops it from like level 20, so people could farm it with 50 characters every day of the event, while the world boss mounts require you to have a much higher level character than that to farm.
World boss mounts are 1/2000, love rocket is 1/3333.
Only 1/400.
Rarest drop in the game right now is probably Spaulders of a Lost Age (https://www.wowhead.com/item=9430/spaulders-of-a-lost-age), which is seemingly the rarest of the uldaman ultra rare drops. Wowhead even has it listed as no longer available, even though it does still drop.
I have that too, I think I got it in TBC.

Not only this, we can’t ignore the fact that Love Rocket is less tedious to farm than Pandaria world bosses mounts. I try every year to get the Love Rocket with over 30 characters during the two weeks is available but I won’t spend the time to farm Pandaria world bosses with those 30 characters constantly every week and I am sure I am not the only one. That last one requires more dedication because it takes more time to kill 30 times in a row those bosses than to queue 30 times for Love Rocket, and even so that dedication is only required those 2 weeks, maybe more if we combine with other event mounts like Halloween but in my case I already own that mount. Love rocket could have lower drop rate per kill, but I am sure the number of yearly kills of the love event boss is enought greather than yearly kills of world bosses to make world bosses mounts rarer.

I am not completely sure, but I think the turtle mount is rare
Pendulum of Doom drops from Uldaman it’s so damn rare there is only 2 on ah on all servers and sells for gold cap. Uldaman also drops 4 other super rare items gold makers called " big ticket items" all over millions each.

And than to imagine i got the Nalak mount from a BMAH unsold merchandise box, for the measly sum of 180k gold, and found that mount inside.
And just 2 weeks ago, i got the TCG Rocket mount in one of the boxes, although that box did set me back a whopping 330k gold instead 
Overall, rarest item would probably be Mannoroth Tusks, which i am still after but still dont own 
It may be a rare drop but it’s not a patch on what it used to be. The Gnome starter area warrior sword is better now.

I have quite a lot of stuff that’s not available any more. Oggleflint’s Inspirer or some defias rapiers for instance.
This is the truth people, the rarest mount in game is the turtle, I fished and fished and then fished some more, the damn thing never dropped.
My theory is that silly dragon chromie was around doing his/her future/past thing, they looked in the future and watched me getting fed up with the dailies and not caring if the turtles made it to the water or not, so I was punished in the past for my future actions!!!
Hmm yeah maybe I should take this to the conspiracy theories thread
