I am a little bit confused, because the retake of Gilneas means the we kick the rear end of the Horde out of the territory.

Callia pulled back the forsaken forces back from Gilneas because we helped with Sewer City. There shouldn’t be a Horde presence there anymore.

Also they found a cure to remove the Plague too. So the city can also be cleansed in certain areas.

Just don’t get too excited. While it would be very cool for Glineas to become an actual city with everything players would need, portals, barber, et cetera, Blizzard is very good at killing high hopes.

lets hope it wont just be some boring scenario you can afk trough like the mop ones or the wargrounds in bfa

Hopefully they will at least give it minimal vendors and a flightpath. Im on RP realms and I feel like RPers would use it quite abit like how Silvermoon is a popular place for Horde RP.

Let me see the hype, fellow gilneans and fellow worgens! Lots of people have been crying for this even since cata first launched, I can’t believe this is really actually coming in the next patch!!!

I hope they will make it as hub, same goes for lordaeron, as it is now its just the same, not updated, untouched place with just some npcs in, to do anything there you have to talk to zidormi, even for hallows end event …

well, tbh, she say she will bring on the topic in the council taht tehy dicuss that.
its not a certai withdraw of forsaken foces.
it was implemented but not for sure (but doing not so woud have make the whole questcahin and conservatio made…abrud)

This is from the official post.

Specifically the “empty as expected part” is a bit weird. Where we expecting it to be empty? I mean as you said, Callia just said she would just suggest it to the council, but nothing was confirmed. I personally expected Blizzard to update us on that before announcing “Reclaiming Gilneas”. It could be interpreted both ways, but I think they mean other treads than the forsaken.
