Remix flop

That’s an expectation on your side, not a flop. Nowhere was it ever said to work like this, wasn’t the case in MoP remix either.

Pretty much same experience, except i’m ilvl 590. I don’t think I will continue. I’m actually weaker than my frost mage on retail by a lot. Heroic world tier is a boring slog, a wanna be classic. It’s not fun it’s slow and tedious. The dailies are to much. Raids give worthless items. m+ is broken, instant death on the sand things, soak or not.

M+ in general is not what it was in Legion at all. It’s way to difficult at +2 already. I remember tanking +9 without healer and goign 4DD in legion. No way you do that here now.

Foolish of me to think I’d be able to solo up to +20 in legion remix. No it’s just legion. I don’t think the stats do anything at all. Frostfire bolt cast is 1.1 sec with 70% haste and in retail it’s 1.1 sec with 30% haste kek. It’s all just for show for the number geeks.

thankyou man thank you.
thats what i was trying to say when i said its not fair that pvp players cant be in remix
why?
because when they get everything they have nothing to do and they will go back to retail because there is no world pvp and pvp content in that remix.
its so bad man
its so frustrating for me as a pvp player

I don’t understand the removal of gems either. We could choose our stats and we could slot in whatever special powers we wanted. Why take that agency away? It’s not like balance really mattered for a 3 month event and it wasn’t that much of a complicated system either.

What was fun about Panda Remix was all the combos you could make. I made a frost-fire paladin that could turn into a fox, it was so fun being outside the normal class fantasy.

While Legion Remix does have some stuff that’s outside regular class fantasy, it feels very toned down compared to Panda Remix, and it’s almost spoonfed. You can only be one of 5 things, from what I see now and you need to unlock the whole thing before you can be more than 1 - and you’re still stuck with just 5 options. In Pandaria we could start having wacky combos very soon in the leveling process.

Legion Remix feels more centered around being a regular collecting event, with minimal alterations, and harder mobs to kill if you choose Heroic. Whereas Pandaria Remix actually felt different from regular WoW, the experimentation felt like part of the point of the event, and collecting things was the added bonus.

Same thing tanks. I was run tank and DPS pull every and killed them faster before I aggro them. As dont need tank lol.

I wonder in what realm you guys are playing in. I am finding groups for anything in minutes even at 4 am >_> I am getting easily 20-30 ilvls a day, and Im already at 630ish insanely strong vs the content.

I really really, do not understand where you are coming from at all. I’m having an absolute blast. Something I couldnt say about MoP remix.

Controversial take:
I had fun with MoP Remix from day one, but with Legion Remix I feel like I’m doing a tasteless routine.

No elaborations or explanation “Why?”, It’s just how Im feeling.

im back

now im 620 ilvl

the game is still bad , still slow , still no powerful attacks
ill continue to 720-740 ilvl

they need to buff the player power from artifacts by 10x

Started yesterday, level 45 atm, so far I like it

I am 645 now, still slow and not powerful at all. Especially heroic tier is just a boring braindead slog. Mythic raids go fast ye, they scale nice but I wouldn’t say it’s broken. You can still die on Xavius and Helya with some pugs despite everyone being 640+.

I feel like it’s more Retail+, Retail but a tad faster.

Yup, my main concern is m+ is not worth it at all with effort you need to put in to even get gear upgrade. if youre 645 and run m+ levels where you get upgrdes it is as hard as retail.

It’s Retail just more boring. Feels like the diablo mistake during launch.

YES! I hate questing being the most valuable ressource for ilvl. One more follower quest and I’ll get a refund for midnight

It’s certainly not the power fantasy that MoP Remix was in the early stages and the power fantasy was the whole point. They’ve “balanced” Remix quite a bit and turned it into long form progression, that was the last thing they should have done.

I expect we will get as powerful… eventually and if we stick with it… but, really, it’s a hardcore player’s thing now. Having 200%+ Versatility is going to be kind of crazy. It’s a long grind to that point with this one though.

If you manage to get to 900%+ Versatility and 700+ ilvl, you’ll be soloing +40 Keys and Mythic Raids.

I get garbage in m+, questing is now meta. Just quest and open chests for the stones to make raid gear. 665 now.

I really hate the retail tree, it’s so bloated and convoluted imho. Add to that 4 more abilities for your artefact weapon and it’s even more boated! It’s hard to understand why when they actively stated their system is to complex and bloated…… then they make it worse and advertise it. I loved Legion but this is a mess. :frowning:
Back to classic I guess and the wait for C+……

The insane latency on Suramar HC aside this was a really good gaming experience I had for years in wow. I wish this game mode was more regular. I dont find this a flop.

I’m kind of disappointed with legion remix to be honest. Considering there was a bit of uproar with the lack of “fun” when it was being tested, there still seems to be a distinct lack of fun.

To me it feels like they’re treating it as a genuine expansion when they don’t need to. The time gating I don’t mind, but why they’ve gone down the direction of not letting us share power with our alts defeats the purpose imo. Even as a “levelling event” for now it barely beats out the XP buff we have for having max level characters normally anyway.

I really hope they improve the experience.

I’ve held off on casting a judgement for a few days to give it a good shot first. But Blizzard have missed the mark on the fun.

Mop remix was just unrestrained fun. This feels like a slightly altered retail:

  • daily quests
  • random RNG for gear upgrades

Mop remix we upgraded via bronze, which had its problems but it was at least deterministic.

Gems in mop remix were awkward, but were insanely good fun. The artifact abilities aren’t anywhere in the same league in terms of fun.

The power gradient is just off.

I understand Blizzard aims to optimize for player engagement not player fun. But the idea is to obfuscate that. Mop remix achieved engagement by just being fun.

This covers it pretty well, it feels like it was balanced to try for longevity, but they missed the mark on what made MOP fun. It should be something to dip in and out of and have a fun time, not something you have to dedicate an hour a day to grinding to (and only benefitting from that on one character)

I like the advancements they’ve made:

  • A consistent currency for upgrades and a way to increase those drops (which I believe is the only account wide thing).
  • Heroic World Tier, it’s a bit underwhelming and feels a little pointless currently, but the idea is something that could genuinely persist in retail if they get it right.
  • I like the reuse of artifact weapons, but not letting us carry over power is a disappointment.

I hope they’ll make changes as we go to bring some of the fun back, but I’m kinda worried that they’ve just shipped it and they’ll leave it on autopilot for the next three months (see zero acknowledgement of the lag for details)

You guys rly find it that bad?

I will level one char too max level slowly then grab all rewards that hit my eye, view mounts and transmogg and peace it

I heard you need 8mil coins for all cosmetics
For like 30% off all cosmetics will it be enaugh too hit max level in one char ?

Agree that it tequire too much grind even to get a bit powerfull in normal mode.

The only way that levelling alt can be good is with blizz interference.

Overall i think blizzard is wasting players time, a nerf will come eventually and thats sad for those who actually did the hard grind. Blizzard never learn to respect players time.
