Remove aoe cap

Well no offense to Blizz but since I’m against the aoe cap I’m kinda for their position on the thing being wrong. ^^

The only place aoe cap is really having an impact is in m+ and its only on high keys where very large pulls are need to time it, and in this specific case it has a big impact.

In all others areas of the game it makes almost no difference.

Not that I’m on the bad side of it since SP can searing nightmare everything, My thing is if SPriest can use SN, fire mages can do whatever they do, Monks can spinning crane with procs, pulling 30-60k, Then idk why stuff like Blade Flurry, Divine Storm and Blade Dance etc etc gets capped.

The whole cap thing is nonsense because people are still zerging things down just how they did before.

Spinning Crane Kick is target capped.

True, although with SEF they still get a cap of their own individually

Why didnt they just make aoe cap for mythics only? Or was it too hard for em.

Imagine playing a mage and spitting your toxicity to others for capped aoe. Please.

You mean the class that’s slowly being replaced by an AoE capped spec, because it’s simply better? Yeah, imagine…

Leveling. Island expeditions. Warfronts. Open world farming. WoW isn’t just mythic plus and raids.

If you also check my keys, most of them are done in frost. That’s right, an AoE capped spec, with 8 targets on orb and 2 targets for my main damage dealer. But nah, I’m just a toxic mage.

2 of which are not current content and can be blasted through with any spec easily. AoE cap does not affect leveling at all. No matter what spec I level, I pull 10 mobs at a time and AoE them down. And open world farming? Why exactly should a spec be designed based on how well it can kill hyenas for leather?

My Arcane barrage has been AOE capped forever, it’s really annoying in some mythic + dungeons, it makes me deal a lot less damage.

I’m playing Frost now, which has ice lance capped, but otherwise it seems much more healthier in mythic +.

I agree, removing AOE cap at least in legacy content where you pull a lot would be a really good change.

Because arcane isn’t naturally an AoE spec. It has incredible single target and cleave burst damage, and in terms of destroying a priority damage with single target rotation and dealing very good AoE just naturally off of that, it’s the best in the game. Most top keys done in the world are done with arcane mages. Damage profile matters.

The bigger farce IMO is that some classes have retained abilities that are not capped and that very much shows when doing content in game.

So please make us all equal and uncap us all.

aoe cap need to be removed i want to hit with my barrage 50 mods again …

Wow always had had a soft cap, either at 10 targets when added then moved up to 20 during Mop. So the middle ground solution would have been lowering that soft cap. Instead, Blizzard decided to hard cap most of specs, including tanks, which make our lives harder in M+ when playing with a fire mage, because fire ain’t capped, so he’s likely to get agro.

GCD changes in BFA was completely garbage they change it
AOE cap is a Cool idea on paper
but in reality doesn’t work
the proof is that you are talking down on people while you are playing uncaped class

it will be changed eventually just like GCD was changed
