Remove ferals

I dont really see how devastation is op without a feral in the team because you wouldnt understand, but the design of feral fits actually really well to those classes since you don’t want to leave a feral spamming cyclones on your entire team, neither do you want a dragon or mage freecasting on you.

Feral without this gamestyle wouldn’t even be viable in those comps at all and thats what you want right? Be viable. Some classes would wish to be in your position being able to play super braindead comps (fw/feral/dragon) to play something more setup oriented (fmp). The literal only time Feral would actually be useful with another design absolutely not centered around cyclone would be in jungle. But since we’re complaining about how many comps a feral can play do you want to be hardstuck into only playing jungle again?

I dont even think feral players know how good they have it right now they have 2 top ladder comps while being absolutely annoying to face.

They won’t change anything and complaining wont do anything either, arms players dont like bleed specc, ww’s dont like pveing, sp players dont like hardcasting, disc priests dont like atonement. And so on, the only thing you can do is hope the new xpac revamps classes/the meta enough so you have other choices to make. But as of now take it and accept it or quit and play another class instead of complaining. Feral is perfectly viable right now and is able to get high cr in any bracket if you dont like the design switch or quit.

The Deva is OP because it deals the highest DMG / Burst in the game if left alone? In solo shuffle, 3v3, 2v2 Devastations is top 3 in DMG and burst no matter what rating bracket and is often first. I’d say that makes it strong if you leave it alone all game no? The feral deal half the DMG and burst of a Deva, but has cyclone which is an OP and toxic CC.

Yes that is what I want, I want Feral to be viable because it DEALS DMG, because it has GOOD SURVIVABILITY, because it has GOOD BURST and not because it is a CYCLONE BOT.

Yeah because they never played Feral and don’t know how horrible the gameplay is for the Feral. Who really wants to be a melee Cyclone spam bot that dies 5x faster than anything else in the game? The AWC games with Feral this season and last season were SO MUCH FUN with the feral running for his life more than half the game trying to get a cyclone land. Amazing gameplay, the Feral really must have had so much fun knowing all the games they lost was his fault for playing Feral.

You do know that the majority of PvP is solo shuffle? You do know only a handful of Feral can actually play the one comp that is strong cause their aint enough FW / Dragons out there for everyone? Should we just ignore 99% of Ferals because the 1% are able to play 3v3 with the Feral comp that is OP? We wanna be good in solo shuffle cause it was and probably still is the majority of PvP or just as popular as 3v3. And we dont wanna be a cyclone spam bot.

Well they actually did with the War Within, and actually some of the Druid of the Claw ideas are the EXACT ideas we were giving them for months now. So I would guess the Feedback and crying actually did help them a bit, sad that we need to wait till next expansion for it.

You do know that Blizzard itself says that class feedback is very important to them and often class reworks and new expansion design is decided based on the feedback and crying they got? Why do you think some Druid of the Claw talents are EXACTLY the ideas given in multiple “Cry Threads”? We hoped the Feedback and ideas we gave would be added this expansion, but better next expansion than nothing.

Viable in one comp and your role is “spam cyclone” and “run for your life” while your teammate actually does the DMG and killing for you. If I don’t like the design I will be writing as many comments I want that I dont like the design. I you dont like it dont read it or get off the forums. Easy.

feral is the easiest mele to play

Not realy DH, Assa, Frost DK, Ret, Furry and Arms are not quit hard too master

Feral Talents are just so meh i logg in today checking witch builds i can make on Feral and you have no options you have too take a build arround incarnation and clones all other talents are for M+ or worthless for pvp

I hope too make a build with flat high damage not too burst dependen, i gave up and logg on assa

To be fair I understand Feral dev a bit. Feral lacks it’s identity a bit. They try to make it a successful PvE and PvP spec with it’s own identity but whatever they try players complain. In Legion players complained it was a bleed bot without Cyclone. In SL it only worked training one target then people complained it’s a bleed bot and a weaker Assassination Rogue again during DF season 1. So devs went for this absolutely stupid talent. What they should do is they should send a poll to Feral players to decide what would they prefer bleeds or single target and then rework Feral to find it’s identity. Feral, Frost DK, Fury Warrior and maybe Prevoker need some love and reworks to improve their PvP performance and to find their identity.

feral dev is a clown who failed to respond to feedback for 1.5 years.this person should be fired.the clown who made wild attunement need to be fired and never work on a game again.just an ignorant dev a waste of money and time

Why are they putting so much power into Cyclone? If you can cast it you are a god, if you can’t you lose 50% of your DMG. Like who thought that was a good design to make half of your power as a melee come from a casted spell and give you no survivability to make not being able to cast Cyclone even more punishing. Not only do you lose 50% of your DMG, but you also die if you don’t land the cast. Ain’t that a little to big of a risk?

Imagine having a caster spec that has a spell that has a 5sec cast but it kills the target no matter what, but you die if you take DMG while casting. And now imagine it’s the only viable build for your spec.

To be fair having 2-3 builds is a luxury nowadays. I don’t know many specs that have 2 truely viable options. 2nd one is always a gimmick like Volcanic Surge or all these one shot Stormkeeper builds for Ele as example.

It was Feral community that always complained since I remember. Last time they were happy was Cata/MoP. Even in WoD when they could cast Clones in Cat Form they were complaining because they didn’t like the look of it. That’s why they should make a poll and decide what direction should Feral go not to be an Assassination Rogue with a Stroke or a scuffed version of a Sub Rogue.

i mean i liked legion Feral, but sometimes it felt like “that u had zero support for your mate” what was kinda meh

and undispellable roots was “too” toxic against meele classes

I wouldn’t mind if it went back to the Legion gameplay wise, but the “bite” bleed refresh talent was kinda braindead

It was like that in almost every season, with a few exceptions

the only problem about fmp was, that feral had for a long time no mortal strike, and arcane mage isnt constant when it comes to be viable

so yeah u saw feral most likely with Jungle, and sometimes kitty cleave, and in legion ssn1/ wod with affli

the comb option is really good

idk wod feral was weird, it was tanky, but also only did “massive dmg” in incarn, and after that, u did nothing, but i think every class was so weird, and designed for high dampening, even ww (it´s too long ago lol) but i remember the 1000 rake stuns in incarn like a sub rogue

Bfa Season 1 Feral was bis, wish we could get back to this season,
Shadowlands feral was too op
Legion feral was also really op, but also fun to play (for me)
wotlk (retail classic) feral is also fun

I have no idea, I can’t remember any expansion except Dragonflight where the class sucked , gameplay wise

But there’s a reason why, the tran… whatever Druid Dev left in the middle of the df beta
(because riot made him a job offer) if i get it right, the pay is better etc, I can’t blame him for that tbh

so the problem was, Dragonflight was about to be released and they couldnt get a new “Druid dev” in the short period of time, so they just did bandaid fixes and thats it

the Alpha/Beta druid tree was even worse. but atleast they took some suggestions from the Community when it comes to the Feral tree, but when it comes to the normal Druid tree they went just radio silent

See my point is that there was always something to complain about. Feral community lacks identity. There are multiple groups that opt for different playstyle. One opt for Bleeds other for direct damage and no matter what there are always complains. I cannot count how many times I heard Feral is an Assassination Rogue after stroke. They need to make a poll imo and decide what direction this spec should go because hardcasting cyclone in the middle of the map is just stupid.

At the same time devs struggle to make Feral different from Assassination Rogue since both specs have Mastery improving Bleed damage. Maybe instead they should go for Mastery similar to Shadow One. The more bleeds the more direct damage it deals. I have no idea but it needs some attention.

i dont know, i never complained about this class until df, and i think most likely people complained about feral in the forum when it comes to pve, cuz in pve this class was most likely really bad

i mean both classes are energie classes, and also play around bleed, but i wouldnt say, that feral is the same as an Assassination Rogue

when it comes to bleeds and energie yeah, but still the toolkit is different, and also in the past Assassination was more of a envenom poison based class instead beeing a bleed bot

No Problem with that, i mean they also could change, that only the Finisher moves from Feral does more dmg when it comes to Mastery

or just nerf the Fb scaling when it comes to Mastery and buff the Bleeds by an higher amount instead, no need to change the mastery completely

na, would causes many balance/scaling issues, and feral have a talent what works like that when it comes to fb

Not really. Indeed you’re not known for complaining I agree and I get it why you’re frustrated because current Feral design is really stupid but believe me bro Feral community was always complaining. It was a meme in the community even.

That was exactly one of the common complaints that they are too similar and that Assassination is better version.

Not really since Death Mark buffs the bleeds and poisons are just small portion of the damage. Poison currently is the main source of MS effect.

That was my point make it R Druid/Shadow Priest type of mastery. You deal more % of Bite damage for every Bleed on the target.

Anyway you bring good points but it seems Feral community is extremely split and there are many groups that like Feral to be different.

hmm, for me before df Feral was more of an Outlaw rogue with no evasion, i played “combat” Rogue before i started playing Feral, i Played Combat rogue, because i didnt like the Gameplay from Assa

Assa is even more squischy, and i dont think that Assa is currently better than Feral, maybe in shuffle, but normal 3s i dont think so

i dont know, assa is just a different class, in some terms the same “gameplay,” But still a little different: Feral was more of a combat/outlaw brawler than a sin rogue in previous expansions

ah, i dont mean now, i said “was” like in Legion or Bfa, in Shadowlands i never played against a Sin rogue, cuz Sub was 100x times better until season 3, but i havent played sl season 3 and season4 only 30 games

yeah this cd is something else, really clunky compared to vendetta

we have a talent what is like that, thats why we bleed up, and also use trash, so fb does even more dmg

yeah at this point it´s really different, even more when u look at the pve feral “complaints”

i think the main issue, besides of the clone talent is just, that they dumped every x % mod + mastery into Ferocious Bite, which means you are be able to do “high crits” with bite, but everything else is like a “transmogg” (bleeds)

maybe they should move bite from mastery away, and balance it like u said that only the “bleeds” are increasing the bite dmg

while the mastery increases only bleeds by an higher amount, i think this would be a solid fix
