honestly it really depends, it feels like it goes from 0% to a 100% very quickly, as soon as u use shimmer to land a sheep that might be dodged by the healer, and your alter time get sdispelled, suddently uptime skyrockets

in open world with just a warrior on u, ye u r okay 8 cases out of 10

Mage needs to lose displacement on Frost and Fire at least.

Also the amount of roots needs to be reducted. Mages already have multiple blinks and hefty snares. The only option to root enemies should be with frost nova and pet frost nova.

Once mage mobility is dealt with, they should then take a look at warrior mobility because after that, there will be no excuse for the absurdity of their gap closer toolkit

Agreed, followed by frostbite, static field totem which are also to obnoxious for this game to exist.

Tell me how you fake them kicks so easily? I want to learn. Honestly. I consider changing that gem to something more useful. Everyone is interrupting like a god damn pro…

Depends on you specc, some casts you fake others you just abuse multiple spellschools.

Sprccs that go for alot of haste have it easier aswell, like feral and boomy with clone

Destro moatly abuses fear to bait kicks and keep going with fire or shadowflame

We can apply the same logic to melee kicks.
Do you know there is a “macro” you can use that will only kick if something is being cast.
It can’t miss. So with this logic lets remove kicks all together.
If you wanna balance around people using HACKS you might as well just delete this entire game. Combined with the auto cast rotation bots this game has bigger problems.

Point is you should focus you attention on blizzard and demand that they put effort in to fixing the game instead of deleting a entire mandatory ability casters need to even be viable

This is coming from somebody who had the worst kicks imaginable entire Dragonflight and did effort to improve them

Mage was historical warrior counter, what changed exactly? Both got more obnoxious, that’s pretty much it i guess.

The trick is to never kick. Kicks are useless in most scenarios anyway.

The entire spec is and always has been a joke, honestly.

Tuning disaster, either completely unviable or oppressively broken. Half of the kit is bugged and either doesn’t work to their detriment or actively works in their favour.

In Shadowlands I had a multi-rank 1 WW tell me to “just CC Xuen” whenever they popped their Weapons of Order oneshot. When I told them that Xuen was bugged and immune to all CC the fotm rerollers came at me in droves telling me that I was an idiot. The next patch was very funny.

“We have fixed an issue causing Xuen to be erroneously immune to CC effects.”

That brief period where the SEF clones would continue to mimic the Monk’s keypresses even while the Monk themself was in hard CC was also hilarious. You ever get RSK’d to death by the Goon Squad™ while the Monk was sat in a Storm Bolt? :smirk:

It’s literally never worth to press kick tho? You just triple dr cc the cast nowdays so you’re not risking precog. Every class has 2+ schools so the 3s interrupt really won’t affect the rotation.

Very few casters are even casting spells lmao and gl landing a kick on a mage.

There is a diff between a counter and being untouchable? Also it does not apply for warrior only but every melee except feral and rogue. I believe the mage class design cannot get more ridic than it is now.

Mage isn’t even a n1 caster. Also ye that’s how it works, when you buff melee mobility, make ret hit you from half screen away, give dks 2 grip with increased range, giving warrios all the mobility etc, then you have to buff caster mobility too so there is a room to do something.

To me mage seems like the best caster, always was and always will be. No matter the current game or season, mage will always get the special treatment to deal with everything. In a hands of a decent player you literally own the game. The issue is that the skillfloor is just too low currently the class plays itself and also because only thing you have to do nowdays is damage and blink. But somehow people will still struggle proly because the average shuffle enjoyer is honestly not good at the game.

Currently mage is probably the most obnoxious i’ve ever seen maybe with Shadowlands variation.

Ok, so you go with only instant spells and autoattacks and many auto spells like Necro grip or what is that name.

We, the casters mostly have to cast something to do dmg. Everytime we force an interrupt from melees have to spend many many seconds to U press it. And during that time mostly we have no dmg while playing.
Once, we did a full fake cast and you pop an interrupt, we have 4 seconds to cast a spell, maybe two. during that time you just pushed 10 buttons and did 600k dmg.

Any good advice? :smiley:

Faking isnt even worth it tbh. And then you have all the other sh1t that interupts your cast.

PvE rotaion on casters while moving not enough, my man wants dummy rotation while drinking his coffee.
