Welcome to under the stairs then.
You set the bar pretty low, didn’t you?

Spotty as well. Just the tiniest angle off and it teleports behind you and hits you anyway.
I copied it into a spell checker and it came out perfectly, just to make sure it wasn’t just me.
There are no errors. You are just antagonizing her for no reason - or your English is poor, but that doesn’t appear to be the case, either. Can you just stop with the whole grammar thing? That is trolling. The only excuse is if you actually can’t understand her. Nobody would accept behaviour like that in the real world.
Honestly I’ve had zero issues with the stair spot. You just can’t stand far forward, otherwise they tp to you but do no damage every time, even as a goblin.
Hm, fair enough. I’ve had trouble with it in the past. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
Small thing by the way: There is no difference between the way the game calculates height from NPC’s and spells since iirc WotLK. In tBC for example you get LoS issues in some arenas you don’t get with other races, so it was normalized. I remember for a time the camera height was the same for everybody, too, but people complained as it made them seasick and it was changed, so camera is at eye height but LoS/mob targeting calculations are done at a unified height.
This also prevents a series of “bugs” (one can perceive them as features tbh, funny ones!) that would get some races stuck in doorways. For example, a Tauren could not enter the Stormwind bank and a male Draenei had serious problems as well.
Yeah mob height mechanics are fixed you are correct, player height ones are not sadly which lead to awkward situations in TJS first pull where unless I used smites compass I wasn’t in LoS up the stairs for my pala to spellward me. Very annoying.
They are in PvP at least. If they weren’t gnomes couldn’t be hit on the bridge in Blade’s Edge. You obviously can’t try that now because tBC is closed again, but you could see what that actually looks like there.
Yeah I know PvP has a fix for it, but it was definitely causing issues for us in dungeons last season.
How odd! Well, alright then!
Just FYI:
You can totally negate that mechanic by having your back to a wall. If those assassins cant “jump behind you” because there is a wall, you receive 0 damage.
And because its a physical attack, melees tend to have a lot of dodge/armor and don’t receive so much damage. Either way, if the healer and 1 or 2 casters do it, its no biggie to heal 1 melee DD.
It just requires a wall? We still haven’t managed to do it. We tried to stand on a side on ‘the right’ stair thing with that ledge above us and still the assasins jumped. For now we just pull the packs with assasins 1 by 1.
You have to face your back EXACTLY into the wall. Otherwise it just teleports to the side of you and hits you anyway. But it does work.
If you’re under the stairs they jump but do no damage. Same with a wall. They’ll always jump.
I see! That must have been the problem. Thanks
