Removing armors

the times warlocks had soullink 20% (25% with glyph)

Or MoP where you had Soullink + glyph for unending resolve beeing passive 10%

Shadowbolt in tbc litterly does more dmg than in retail, and there you have allround 10-12k hp xD

cheat felarmor? Either you choose Demonarmor for armor and hp5 or you picked felarmor for spelldmg and increased healing recieved. And tbh, in tbc you allways went for felarmor no matter what you faced. its not an armor vs caster and one vs melee. its basically one armor period.

affliction has been spit on by blizzard since legion.

Don’t forget the dot dmg is also higher. And as you said you had more def options in other addons, like Fel armor.

The reason behind warlocks power in MoP was the glyph of hearthstone with dark Regeneration. This was a full hp with one def ability.

So bringing back dark Regeneration without the glyph would be good, therefor we get Demon skin baseline. This would increase our pets survivability.

Soullink would be enough for warlocks. Its strong and it has counterplay (pet dead - sl gone) and its even perfect cause the summons take long again and fast summon has a longer cooldown.

That’s why we also need Demon skin, the pets just die from aoe. But if you want to kill a pet, you should focus it.

If the pet dies by random aoe dmg it is a bad game design having classes relaying on pet support.

Well there comes pet management in place. Its easier now in retail then it is in tbc cause you ahve pet move to command

Place the pet at other spots than your own position. The amount of cleave dmg happening is generally a diffrent problem. Like seeing ww monk bursting a target and one nearby just flips for just standing close to him. for example

A demo warlock always has it pets at the main target, and when the main target is going on you then your pet will be in aoe range

You never went demon Armor in tbc.
Fel Armor gave 20% increased healing and Tons of spell power, and you could improve it even further with the talent. Demon Armor gave almost no Armor to make up for it. If you don’t know this you never played tbc

??? maybe read full before ā€œcorrectingā€ me?

avoidance is the key here

Tell that my pet, this died so many times threw insane aoe dmg from certain classes like dk, dh and even warrior.

But now I’m playing the necrolord Affliction build. With GoSac, so no pet. But still killing the power of hunter and warlocks is their death sentence, and then not being tanky is stupid game design.

If you want pets to be meaning full in use and they can die quickly, then reduce the summon time. Especially for demo, i mean why is a master summoner not able to Summon his pet faster than destruction or affliction while those to don’t relay so much on pets?

the thematic on how fast and cleaved warlock pets get and how fast they die is a dicussions once they start to bring soullink back for all speccs and not now. currently its not balanced with SL in mind and demo pet does a good job at living currently.

Its useless arguing about it when its not in the game already. If Sl get brough back propperly for all speccs its enough for warlock in case of defense.

Warlocks shouldnt be a giant wall of undestroyable titanium. They just should not flip instantly when they get targeted for 3 seconds.

Affliction except NF needs more survivability, it is disgusting how they balance the game around the best way to play it. Instead of looking at everything. I mean they implemented the covenant system in the game, so it is their job to make them even.

Bleed DMG is Physical DMG tho or isnt it anymore? isnt Nature Physical too?

bleeds ignore armor values and poisons are nature dmg which also ignore armor. Direct physical hits dmg depends on armor value.

No. Nature is its own magic school.

As Trss said bleeds ignore armor despite their physical nature.
