Maybe it’s time for Blizzard to do the right thing for freakin’ once.
They were on a roll with the changes they’re planning and then they pull this… Proving that they’re still the elitist supporting company of old.
Fair enough. I disagree.
And I don’t think re-skins of old items diminishes the original item’s worth. At all.
There’s a clear difference between the two.
I’ve been grinding through 80 rep factions since I started playing during BC. Believe me, I do realise it. Which is exactly the point I’m criticising. Forcing people to grind hard for skins and reputation is one thing. Forcing them to do it within certain time limits is another. Even if the time limit is rather long like in the case of Shen’dralar reputation, it should be my freedom as a player to decide when I want to revisit / continue a game content without having to fear that it will only be available for a certain time span.
The fear of limited availability is manipulative and increases the risk of getting addictive to the game. Not for me because I can real quick just stop playing for straight up 5 years in a row if game changes kill my mood all too much. But especially young players, who don’t see through this strategy, might end up getting wow-aholics in order to not miss out on something.
And again. I didn’t make such a decision nor did I willfully ignore game content or information about it being available for limited time.
Because the mage tower bear form was a new skeleton with new animations. Meanwhile the catforms where just a reskin with glow. Something the firelands cat form has and is available at your closest barber shop.
Good idea. Only negative thing I have to say is I don’t like normalised gear and limited timespan for this, but that’s a feature of timewalking, not this in particular, so it’s kind of outside the scope.
People did not demand bear because it had a new skeleton but simply because it was cool and it was limited.
Same as people who wanted the ghostly ones, and no it’s not just the “glow”.
Or those that wanted paladin or warrior tank flail.
A lot of weapons were pretty unique as well, they should have simply put a recolor of the challenge weapons for every spec but no only bears can have that.
Not that I am overly affected by this, is just another bear skin for me, but I feel for those that wanted a recolor as well and have to see bears get it while everyone else get the middle finger.
The greed is once again strong with some. You can’t always get what you want. Such is life, deal with it. Add the skins back. Stop catering to elitists.
The Firelands skin isn’t exactly the same as the Mage Tower one. And I’d rather see some sort of standard ghostly emerald dream feral form available for every druid than the skin from Firelands…
The Firelands skin also is a rather uncommon appearance and actually a form of renegade Druids of the Flame. It looks even more unique than the blue skin from Mage Tower, yet is available for everyone, who wants to get it. Logic? Why make a quite unusual flaming feral skin of renegade druids free for all while a design that could easily represent the standard feral appearance of “emerald dream walkers” among Cenarian Circle druids is only available for a limited time? Makes no sense.
Nor does making a 100 retints of another feral skin, set some of them as reward for Mage Tower and call it “unique”. At least give us actual re-colours of the Druid of the Flame skin then.
Preaching for what unique appearance blizzard can create and add next is something I’ll support. Walking back and removing restrictions from the unique skins they explicitly said would be time limited is something I cannot.
As long as they tie blue elemental feral appearance to Mage Tower making it a skin not available anymore, I will criticise it. Blue and blue-ish green elemental feral skin as resemblance of the druid’s deep connection to Elune / the Emerald Dream is way more natural to druids than a fire skin. And to make last one ffa while the blue one’s a limited edition was a big mistake I shall call out forever and a day until it got fixed.
Also: Stop resetting my feral skin, Blizzard! I’ve been observing you for weeks now doing this and take it personal by now!
Stop listeting to 30lvl alltime demanding crybabies that cannot deal with the fact, that some pixels are no longer obtainable or that some content is in a form it ment to be in a first place, neither that some people has different opinion about limited items and only way they can respond is to start calling them fat nerds.
so what? everyone can wear whatever they want. if i like a certain mog, mount or form i will wear it regardless of what others wear.
its not obsolete at all.
following your logic each mount, mog, pet etc should only drop once for one person per realm because every duplicate would make it…obsolete?
i mean, claiming that everyone would run around with is quite a stretch. maybe for a week or two then people get bored of it and use something else. i barely see anyone with worldbreaker mount anymore or the hearthstone flame mount thingy or whatnot. or duskhaven set which everyone was pretty hyped about because its a top hat. you dont see every cloth wearer running around with it either.
This is why I don’t understand Blizzards logic anymore, they are diminishing the guardians original rewards by releasing a recolor, but not doing it for any other class.
It’s complete bias and they should release one for each spec, if we have to suffer, so should the other classes.
