I am going to say the simplest thing in the world:
They are not handing out the old rewards without any changes not because they care oh-so-much about how players feel about it. Forget this nonsense, lol. :-)) Thatâs just a side effect.
They are doing it so that folks who already have the old rewards need to farm the new ones. The effort to make the new rewards is miniscule anyway. But in exchange for that miniscule effort they get some months of subs.

Oh, people will farm for them. Some will find them fine, but most of all, for a collectioner, it does not matter how things look. When I get a new mount, do you think I ride it then? Nah. I just cross the checkbox and never see it again. On to the next mount. )) Silly, I know. But thatâs the urge.
And that difference is fine.
I however feel that itâs not my fault I didnât get the ones I wanted. Because Blizzard had stated at the time that the artifact appearances would remain spec-locked. So I figured: Well, then I wonât have to get the MM and SV ones because I will always be BM.
Then they went back on their promise. I got screwed. I made an informed decision based on Blizzardâs promise.
Thatâs an entirely different matter.
I have a certain opinion on it though: I donât think itâs okay for Blizzard to expect to do that tower on a minimum of 3 different classes (that will probably need to be max level and be geared). I really donât.
But the more important part is the unfair treatment of players.
Theyâre adding a new alternative skin for the weapon appearance for 1 single spec of 1 single class. That is simply totally unfair. All specs and classes deserve the same treatment.
I demand equality from Blizzard.
The difference between you and me is that I believe all players should have an opportunity to acquire in game appearances related to old expansions, while youâre propagating some weird in-game high society of exclusive skin owners.
And again as I said, if your happiness is dependant on other people not having in-game skins, you have a problem far beyond wow.

Donât take this the wrong way, I also want everything to be available to everyone (and I have more than half of the skins myself and I have the bear model). But his position isnât malicious. He just ascended to the next level so to speak.
At first you care about WoW so much that you go âI earned it, Blizzard please either make others earn it or donât hand it to themâ. Then you get somewhat saner and go âOK, itâs fine for everyone to have it, really, even with less of an effort (and even with no effort)â. (Thatâs where you are.) And then you get even more enlightened and go âitâs whatever, really, their tricks donât work on me anyway, I just donât care, will pick what I want, if itâs unavailable no big deal, and if pretty much everything interesting is unavailable I will just find a different gameâ. (Thatâs where he is.)
The players are not the issue. The root cause of all negativity is nearly always Blizzard.
These forums should get nuked by blizzard. Theyâre adding content they didnât have to at all. Bringing back mage tower with new rewards and rebalanced challenges and m+ legion which is way more than Iâd ever expect from legion time walking and people still whine about old transmogs. Yikes.
