Report for toxicity?

it is the fault of the system 100%, when they make the reward a rating or something fictional on third party websites instead of something ingame.

Then people still choose to participate in that high end content with people they do not know. No, it’s not the system, it’s very much the community.

The Raider.io score is not something that Blizzard created though.
It is something that spawned from the desire of players to discriminate between their fellow players.
PS: the word “discrimination” in this context means “being able to tell apart” , not prejudice.

its the fault of the system because it promotes that behavior, i dont say if they behavior is good or bad.

but the system promotes it, that is fact.

Not really, because without that system the behaviour would still be there - in the form of checking ilvl/gs/achievement/…

I know, It was Blizzard that created a system where players can brick the keys of others for any reason.

This was their choice and they socially engineered the players to be even worse goblins than before

blizzard have implented that rating into their game so its not really a raider io thing anymore.

I was just addressing the statement about 3rd party rewards. Raider io is still a thing though we have alternatives

Yes, but the difference is then were separate server communities. You could publicly shame ninjas (I remember for days people saying in general chat (Name) has ninjaed on our raid, don’t raid with them) and everyone knew what a player he is. Of course there were a lot of dramas. One couldn’t be sure what is true or false, but one could find like-minded people who’d disagree with toxicity and wouldn’t say to grow a thicker skin. One didn’t even need a guild for this. Just realm community.

Now as I wrote before, all we are left is pugging, bad situations and trying to forget them and hoping the next group of strangers will be normal.

You’re still free to make friends and play with them? I honestly don’t see how Blizzard forces you to pug.

i personally find solace in knowing that alot of the players i engage with are randoms. but im also highly anti social at most times.

Well, for example if I play at the early afternoon because of work shedule and my friends play in the late evening.

Even if the randoms treat you worse than those you are familiar with?

Each times some random dies in a M+ run, I am bracing myself for some fit of nerd rage

i rarely encounter it, really. i had one yesterday that was the most toxic i have seen in a few years, but thats life and a small price to pray for instant groups to play a video game at any hours of the day.

Well, if one manages to reach the point that they cannot really feel hurt by what others say then it good for them.
I seem to still have a desire to never give others reason to have anything bad to say about me. I strive to always improve but people are not always reasonable.

That’s not Blizzard forcing you to pug

Because I asked them to stop skipping mobs because people weren’t able to follow them. They thought I and others should’ve known how to do that by now.

I got a rule for that stuff

  1. ignore them
  2. leave group

It’s the default way of playing, not like lfd / lfg doesn’t throw you in with randoms

Bit hard if they kicked you right before the last boss
