Rev up Your Adventures with Turbo Boost— Now Live!

The current M+ weekly quests give a random hero-track raid item. Getting House of Cards or Eye of Kezan through that system requires a ton of luck. The goal of this new Puzzling Cartel Chip system is to protect against bad luck. It’s not supposed to be charity for casuals.

With the Turbo Boost:

  • Everyone is getting up to +6 ilvl through item upgrades, giving roughly 9% more throughput.
  • Everyone is getting 3 free raid or M+ items at hero-track or higher. For unlucky folks who still don’t have House/Eye at hero-track, that’s a couple of % more throughput.
  • Everyone is getting corruption enchants, giving a couple of % more throughput.
  • Everyone will continue to get a stronger raid buff every couple of weeks, going from the current 9% up to 18%.

Seriously, why are people crying about not getting free end-game myth-track gear? Turbo Boost is already giving everyone ~20% more throughput. You don’t need need any of that for M+10s, getting 3k RIO, or clearing the raid on heroic, so you also don’t need the few extra % you’d get from myth-track over hero-track House/Eye.

Giving everyone myth-track gear wouldn’t improve game-play at all. It wouldn’t magically equalize the meta and make it easier to get M+ groups. All it would do is disincentivize raiders from continuing to progress on mythic difficulty.

As a non raider I appreciate being able to buy HC raid gear. Im 100% fine with having the myth versions locked.

But if we are able to upgrade our maxed upgraded gear 6+ ilvl more the amount of crests from end-of-dungeon should increase. Add 50% more crests from keys via the buff everyone now got.

Blizzard should stop worrying about their 1% top champions.

how can it be so hard for people to understand that it’s meant to be a bad luck protection and not christmas gifts for free for everyone? don’t compare it to prior dinar-systems because they all were in the last (s4) season of an expansion which used to be a fun season the last couple of yeras with no more race to wirld first. this time just throwing b.i.s. items on people who didn’t deserve it has an effect on the next rwf. keep that also in mind! you want nice and shiny stuff? go and earn it instead of crying all the time like a baby.

The theoretical maximum item upgrade cost is: 16 items (two 1h weapons, 2 rings) * 2 upgrade levels * 15 crest (full price) = 465 crests.

However, in reality it will be lower because once you reach 675 ilvl and get the Gilded of the Undermine achievement, the gilded crest upgrade costs go down from 15 to 10, in which case the item upgrade cost. If the Circlet ring remains BiS, and you’ll want to use 2 crafted items for embellishments, then the cost would be

(13 non-crafted items * 2 upgrade levels * 10 crests) + (2 crafted items * 30 crests for Augmentation Matrix recrafting item) = 260 + 60 = 320 crests.

If you’re doing chill +10s, timing most but not all of them, and average at 15 crests per run, you’ll need ceil(320/15) = 22 runs to upgrade everything.

If you do 8 M+ runs per week, you’ll have everything upgraded in a bit over 3 weeks. If you have runed crests saved up that you can convert, and if you also do some raiding that rewards gilded crests, then that’s even fewer M+ runs that you need to do. Remember, the season is far from over. I think it’s nice that we can get those last ilvl upgrades over a matter of weeks if we play at a normal pace (or grind it out in a week if we want to).

Blizzard THEMSELVES compared it to the dinar system.
These reactions are ALL on them.

Even raiders are screwed unless you are a CE guild. The few mythic bosses I kill are of no benefit.

This system is a waste of time.

Screwed how? How is anyone’s time wasted?

Everyone is getting over 10% more throughput in M+ and over 20% more throughtput in raid from the various boosts that are easy to aquire. The extra myth-track over hero-track raid trinkets/weapons would only add an additional 1.x%.

People in this thread are acting as if they can’t play the game without free myth-track BiS gear.

You’re acting like this system has any value. It doesn’t unless you full clear the raid on Mythic.

Sadly, that’s where the boosters come in.

There is no way I’m paying for that. Will just ignore the system or get some transmog I guess.

Remove the constant wait time before you can play M10’s

This is the only thing that would make me download retail again.

Applying to stuff for 10-30 min (Before giving up since this is just wasting time) is not fun .

Waiting to play content is not fun.

The problem is that it has to be done manual and only 5 at a time.

Put in a ”Auto apply to all selected +10 Dungeons” would also fix this,

At least then you can do whatever you want while waiting and don’t have to manually apply to grps

I love putting crafting upgrades on hold until we have reached an artificial date
It feels fantastic, not like badly thought out design at all.

Because raid gear is superior for M+ than what M+ offers and we don’t want to raid. Like seriously, how is this so hard to understand. The problem is not with the cartel chips on themselves, it’s the fact that when we saw the raid loot table with all the “special” items we just went “here we go again, but at least we are getting dinars down the line so it won’t be that bad”.

How is the rarest item of the patch not on here? Roulette wheel is much rarer than anything else… so let’s not add it to the “bad luck protection system”, that these dinars ended up being.

Another thing… The way you’ve chosen to nerf these dinars feels like such a slap in the face, to the people who play your entire season.

You’re literally the only one that expected that, we couldn’t buy raid armor with bronze bullions in Dragon Flight either.
And what’s with people wanting to buy raid gear from a vendor?
Don’t they understand how that would make raids completely irrelevant at the start of an expansion?

All I see is a reason to stretch the season up till eternity and beyond.

off set pieces were made available but all rings and necks should be on the vendor the neck is the rarest slot this season as there’s only 4 thats reasonable available

That’s the way, itemlevel is fleeting, looking cool is forever.
