Don’t like it? Well, don’t do it, or at least don’t invest in it too much? Sure, there is some power attached to it, but geez, this far into the season that shouldn’t be the deciding factor anymore.
Just do what you enjoy, and stop spreading your own negativity like the bloody plague. Your (generally speaking) opinion on what’s fun isn’t more relevant than the less vocal player who actually enjoys it.
If any change can trigger such a “me no likes, why do you do this?!”-feeling, try evaluating whether you’re perhaps a bit too invested in this game. Cause, remember the loading screen: “Take everything in moderation, even World of Warcraft”.
I’ll enjoy it, did in BfA, will do again. The only issue I had back in the days was related to the weekly chest of disappointment. And that doesn’t seem to be relevant this time around.
this is right of customer not to like something or like it - and sometimes it is good to talk about things that, as it turns out, a lot of people doesn’t like. It sparks discussions if the direction of something is good or bad.
Some people will do this, other won’t - but it is our right to express our thoughs here, on forums.
It may just be a linguistic thing, but nobody here has any right in that regard. At least I’m not aware of any law stating that I need to be heard by a private company on their semi-private forum.
Secondly, it’s kind of a misconception that game companies need to listen to the current player base, and to take everything they say in consideration. It can be more rewarding for the company to let those virtually rot and complain while drawing in new players. Sometimes focusing on the existing players/customers will actually drain a product into the bin over time.
Sure, the forum exists to share our opinion. But something like “This is bad content, stop bringing such things back” is nothing but a pile of poo. Especially given that the same user later said that “fun is subjective”, exactly, so throw away such strong sentences and stick to expressing the pros and cons.
Even bad content (if one would classify this as such) has pros, if we can’t see these…then I don’t even know why we play this game to be honest.
i have it done when it was current content and it wasnt bad. I wasnt able to achieve the 4 mask achievement (i did it 6 months ago) but it was fun.
BUT… playin again? maybe. but not with the same effort. So… meh.
If you have company and you are making game just for you and your friends then sure - no one have to care about any opinion at all.
When you have clients, this is their right to express opinion and while you are technically true that companies dosen’t have to listen to anyone, practice shows it is not a wise move.
Do you know why WoW is around here for 20 years now? Because there are players willing to buy sub and x=packs. Why do they buy the game and subs? Cos they enjoy content. What people do when they don’t enjoy the content? Either complain on a channel provided by company (in this case it is offical forums) or quit the game - and quitting the game doesn’t benefit anyone.
Sure, some comments are like you said - one sentence without any arguments, but other players have some problems with this or other thing and they communicate this and they will and this is their right to do so. Simple as that.
Imagine wild world, where you cannot have or express your own opinion about something - rather grim vision of reality.
You keep saying right, there’s none. You quite literally pay a company to be granted use-rights of their IP, not much more than that. That doesn’t give you any right to steer the design process going forward, or the right to have your opinion heard. The only right you have is … to cancel your subscription.
And whether trying to maintain current subscriptions is more beneficial than gaining new ones, that’s not set in stone, nor is there a static ‘truth’ in either direction. So that probably shifts from time to time.
There’s nothing grim about it.
Nobody said anything about not being able to have an opinion. Just that not everyone is obligated to supply a platform for you to share that opinion on. And if you do use some platform to do so, it’s in most cases not as free as you think it is.
ok, then why are you here then? I mean if you don’t agree with idea of opinions (That are based on discussion if something is good/bad you liked or not) then why even bother?
And yes, you can have opinion, express them, leave reviews etc. as long as they are civil.
This timegating is ridiculous. Did you learn nothing with how you’ve been bumbling through this entire patch? Not only did you timegate the actual release of this, but now you’re timegating the progression for it.
Are people allowed to play the game in their own time? Or should I just go ahead and send over my entire schedule so you can micromanage that too?
While it may not be a terrible content for some , but I am with you there. I prefer fresh content not something I am still burntout and not feel like doing it. Same to mage towers.
I don’t think so. What qualifies as ‘fun’ is going to differ between players. I enjoy it, personally. You’re better off trying it for yourself and making up your own mind, I reckon!
