Dk is the last class u can pick atm to rbgs. Nobody wants to run rbgs with a dk.
I assume you are talking about random bgs beause you cant win any 1800 mmr games to get 1800 cr on your char. Ladder has nearly no dk.
TC can be war, SP, rogue, boomkin, DK. In many teams they preffer war - he is tanky, can handle with imuunes have MS effect.

Yes sir this is what I did back in Pandaria. I created my own groups with Random’s, met some great people and even an ex GF this way who was a very sassy healer. Got over 2K rating this way back in the day.
Unfortunately I’m finding even if I’m willing to do this most teams are preferring other classes like Druid or War. I’ve also been out of the game too long to feel comfortable being a TC, at least for another few weeks anyway. Blood is also too squishy to take orbs/flags atm.
Thanks for the advice everyone I appreciate it. Luckily it’s not difficult to get gear this expansion, great catch up mechanics by Blizzard as well so easy to reroll for now
I think warrior is a good choice but so is a DK.
I don’t know their popularity in high rated teams but as far as utility goes they bring to the team enough.

What are you talking about? Mage has always been top tier in RBGs.
Ive played mage in RBGs at 2400-3200 rating during 8-9 seasons spread across each expac since cata. It was a must have each and every season.
During most seasons top teams looked like this:
4 casters with always at least mage lock boomkin.
2 Melee with rogue + DK being a must most of the time.
3 healers and a tank (classes varied a lot per expac).
The main competition for a mage is a boomkin, which has higher overall dmg, the same burst and control that is better suited for mass fights. Bu then again boomkin is by far the best dps spec in RBGs right now.

Mage is always worst , if you give it time and click link you’ll see your top mage class on ladder.
Because warrior makes too much damage atm and dk has no mobility when they are doing target calling.
Ranged dps: aff lock, fire mage, boomer, ele shaman, SP.
Melee dps: arms, frost DK, ret, rogue.
Tank: DH or Guardian druid.
Healer: Disc or holy paladin.

Mobility and survivability is the main issue.
I personally don’t think DK is that bad tbh, we just need a couple of tweaks to shine which I’m hoping will come after AWC. Not to mention UH scales very well so I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re super strong when Ilvls are bumped up, this happens every expansion as far as I can remember, Rets are always amazing in S1 for example then fall off a cliff.
Unfortunately most groups are hesitant of taking one over a warrior or paladin, particularly in orb or FC carry maps. The other melee slot is rogue but that’s independent from the plate wearers as rogue plays a very unique role in RBGs.
Agree with you on Death Grip and Blind, the frost DK combo is very strong but better in Arena where fights are very short, AMZ isn’t as good as the tooltip says though. It seems good on paper but in practice only takes a couple of smites from a disc priest to remove it.

The fact that you claim that mage has always been sh*t in RBGs shows you never done RBGs before this season. The first season where mage is mid tier…while all other seasons it was top tier.

lol I restarted game during bfa , I left during cataclysm.
The thing is mage can dispell balance druid and shadow priest dots with random sheeps and ruin whole the team fight.
That’s why you can only run rbg with a real good mage. Random sheeps are very bad for team fight. It dispells dots. That’s why nobody wants to run with a mage when mage makes alot of damage.
On bfa season 1 my team leader invited a rank 1 mage from russian servers. But he wasnt a mage main player.
He used random sheeps and ruined the whole team fight on his own.

Bfa season 1 is bad just like shadowlands season 1 …
On bfa season 1 first 10 days top 100 has been 2.8k cr on rated bg.
