While we are not the Cult of Forgotten Shadows from Defias Brotherhood, we are a branch of the Forgotten Shadows on Argent Dawn (EU)âa gathering of those who walk the path of shadow, void, and light. We have been part of the community since 2018, a small but devoted circle, and now in 2025, we rise again, determined to forge a true Forsaken roleplay community.
Our purpose is clear: to honor the Forsakenâs unique themes and explore the depths of Forgotten Shadows lore, from the whispers of the void to the echoes of faith and defiance. If you are drawn to the mysteries of the Shadow, the weight of undeath, and the philosophy of those who endure, you may find kinship among us.

The chapel ruins of Pyrewood await.
The bells will toll.
The candles will be lit.

The time has come for the Forgotten Shadows shadow sermon, open to all characters and factions. Whether your character walks in the Light, follows the Shadow, or searches for something between â** everyone is welcome here.**

Dress Code & Vibe:
We kindly ask characters to come dressed appropriately for a spiritual gathering (robes, cloaks, etc.). Bright armor and visible weapons should be hidden if possible to preserve the atmosphere.
New and curious characters are welcomeâno need to be a guild member or Forsaken! We aim to create a peaceful, immersive space for RP and reflection.
Evening Structure:
- The Procession of Shadows â A silent walk to the sacred site. Bring a candle, lantern, or humble torch. Let the shadows speak for you. (we walk from Sepulcher to Pyrewood Village. (20:15 Server Time)
- Opening Rite â Welcoming words from @elisaday (20:30 Server Time) in front of Pyrewood Chapel.
- The Sermon â A reflection offered by one of our chosen speakers of the Shadow.
- Candle Vigil â A quiet moment of remembrance, lit by flame and memory.
- Open Forum â Speak your truth. Share your doubts, poems, stories, or visions. All voices will be heard in peace.

The Shadowâs Sermon â Concerning the Light

â I was taught that the Shadow was only a prelude to the Light⌠but it was in the Shadow that I finally saw clearly. â
On the 24th of July, as twilight falls across the Eastern Kingdoms, the Forgotten Shadows will gather once more for an evening of reflection, memory, and reckoning.
This sermon does not seek to preach nor convert. It seeks only to understand:
What did the Light give us? What did it take? And what still stirs in its silent places?
We will meet in a place where the Light once dwelledânow faded, fractured, or forsaken. The location will be revealed closer to the date, both IC and OOC.
What is the Shadowâs Sermon?
The Shadowâs Sermon is a spiritual and philosophical gathering hosted by The Forgotten Shadows, open to all characters and factions.
Whether your character follows the Light, walks in Shadow, or struggles somewhere in betweenâyou are welcome here.
These gatherings offer a moment of solemn RP, reflection, character development, and community across faction lines.
They are non-combative, open to all, and designed for immersive spiritual storytelling.
Dress Code & Atmosphere
We kindly ask that characters come dressed in a way that fits a spiritual gatheringârobes, cloaks, mourning garb, simple attire.
Overtly bright plate armor, war banners, and unsheathed weapons are discouraged to preserve the atmosphere.
Curious, unaffiliated characters are welcomeâno need to be part of a guild or the Forsaken. This is a space for storytelling, not recruitment.
Evening Structure
A silent procession to the location. All are encouraged to bring a candle, lantern, or simple torch. We walk together in quiet contemplation.

The Sermon â Concerning the Light
A spoken reflection on the paradox of the Holy Light: its mercy, its pain, and the echoes it leaves behind. by one of our speakers.

Blessed day everyone, and praised be.
Today marks 200 days since the founding of our community â a gathering of shadowbound souls, undead and living alike, who chose to remember, rebuild, and rise.
What began as a flickering idea has grown into something enduring:
- Sermons held by lanternlight in crumbling ruins, crypts or chapels during silent nights
- Silent processions through the Kingdom of Lordaeron, and beyond.
- Bonds forged not in Light, but in shadow, truth and understanding
- Shared stories, griefs, and laughter â all held in the dark
What began as a quiet passion, a desire to bring more people together â a place that can act as a refuge for the Forsaken, for the living, for stories, for roleplay, for shadowed souls, for those who walk between light and dark â has now become a community.
we are brothers and sisters, siblings, bound by memory, bound by the echoes of Lordaeron. and the truth we carry in the dark.
We thank all who joined us along this path. To those who listened. To those who spoke. And to those who dared believe that even in undeath, we are not alone.
May the next 200 nights be just as bold, bizarre, and beautiful.

Blessed Day everyone,
A gentle reminder that our Silent Progression begins this Thursday, 2nd of July, at 20:15 Server Time. We will gather in quiet contemplation as we walk together toward the gathering space.
Please bring a candle, lantern, or torch to light the way, and let us unite in silence to honor the journey ahead.Where do we meet?:
- We meet in front of the graveyard of the Ruins of the Scarlet Enclave
in the easternmost area of the Plaguelands,- From there We walk to the Ruins of the Chapel of the Crimson Flame
The ceremony will begin with Elisa Day offering a welcome and invocation to guide us into the heart of the evening. Please arrive in time to settle into the stillness and prepare for the reflection to come.
Following the opening words, we will hear the Sermon â Concerning the Light, by our preachers, a reflection on the paradox of the Holy Light. Prepare to delve into its mercy, its pain, and the echoes it leaves behind. It will be a time for introspection and quiet understanding.
At the conclusion of the sermon, we invite everyone to light a candle and place it among the others. You may speak a wordâFaith, Pain, Love, Mercyâor simply add your light to the gathering. This is your personal moment of reflection and unity.
Finally, our Open Forum will follow, where all are invited to share their thoughts, stories, doubts, or poems related to the Light. This is a safe space for all voices to be heard in peace, compassion and respect.

The Dress Code
- Formal and Reverent Attire: We encourage all participants to dress in a manner fitting the somber and respectful nature of the event. Dark, muted colors (blacks, deep blues, grays) are encouraged. Cloaks, robes, or simple tunics are perfect for this occasion. If possible, please refrain from bright or overly decorative outfits.
- Candles/Light Source: As part of the Silent Progression, bring a candle, lantern, or simple torch to symbolize your inner light. This will be an essential part of the eventâs atmosphere.
