The campaign will be officially starting off today, get your gamers ready to - as they often say - “throw down”
For me? It’s owning the Alliance

For me? It’s owning the Alliance
The howling winds of the Storm Peaks whip through the ancient observatories and research posts of Ulduar as evening falls.
Intelligence arrives for both the Alliance and the Horde - discovered by diminutive research teams on both sides - that the matter of obtaining Ulduar relay beacons will require a series of access codes that must be won through blood across the snow-blasted ruins.
The first of these has been located buried in the head of the disabled colossus looming over Narvir’s Cradle, bound in a network of iron platforms, scaffolds and creaking elevators.
Both factions swiftly receive orders to prepare to capture the colossus - and are both outfitted with a powerful explosive charge to make their enemy’s ascent all the more deadly.
From 20:15 onwards, the objective of Narvir’s Cradle will be active.
Rules will follow the normal format - no CC, 1 attack per 5 seconds, no interrupts and no high-damage abilities (greater pyro, chaos bolt et al)
For today, each faction may use a knockback ability (pref. The hunter fire trap for aesthetics) a single time during the battle.
This has to be called out OOC before it happens to the opposite faction / should be directed by whoever the IC commander of the attack happens to be
This is a very cool idea. I like it. An interesting twist on the usual restricted RP-PvP rules!
PM Lawson for the raid on Horde
PM Luigi on Alliance
An epic first day of fighting!
Very cool
The Horde and the Alliance clashed upon the frozen wastes beneath the giant, runed construction. Despite the valiant efforts from the men and women fighting beneath the blue banner - the Horde managed to retrieve the access codes that had been hidden within the colussus.
Both forces withdrew from the field, licking their wounds, knowing that in the grand scheme of things, the battle was far from over.
The top Gnomes are on the job
As the sun sets begins to set on the Storm Peaks, a thick blanket of snow has already covered yesterday’s the mounds of yesterday’s dead. The Horde emerged victorious, extracting a piece of the enigmatic access code from within the head of the disabled colossus. Today, the Alliance’s scouts work overtime to discover a means of reclaiming their initiative - and find the Inventor’s Library open to them, its defences sabotaged by the rampaging troggs that briefly infested the area some weeks past.
Glimmering consoles lie covered in dust and debris - and whoever manages to hold and manipulate them will surely be one step closer to unlocking the titanic relays.
Battle kicks off at 8:15pm @ the Inventor’s Library. Alliance should arrive earlier / be in defense this time
Once, the Lord of Light banished Dark…
The fact that there is no roads at all and that it’s so inaccessible in places (without feeling cluttered like newer zones) make this zone so good for this sort of campaign. The danger is REAL.
Was a delight to fight Ohlin.
Horde whisper Lawson for raid 1. If raid 1 is full, whisper Grittlebone for raid 2.
Alliance whisper Railcraft.
It’s a trap

The Horde begin to form. Turns out we’re quite good at lines https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/431113366350725121/607632613816926246/WoWScrnShot_080419_185436.jpg
The sound of gyrocopter blades sliced through the thin air of the peaks. The rhythmic sound reverberated throughout Camp Tunka’lo.
A column of flying machines appear over the village and begin raining fire bombs and explosives upon those unfortunate enough who are below.
A thick stench of burning hair and flesh fills your nostrils.
“AAAAAAH!”
A cacophony of hellish screams can be heard as a group of Taunka civilians run out of their huts in a flaming inferno.
A dragonhawk came blazing toward one of the gyrocopters and struck the tail. The flying machine span and in seconds it was a fireball plummeting toward the ground. All that remained was mess of mangled metal.
The graceful form of a dragonhawk swoops down from up above. It narrowly dodges a salve of bullets from one of the gyrocopters, spreading its wings to soar on, basking in it’s temporary victory. That is until a second round catches it in the back, tearing through wings, flesh and bone. The beautiful beast is torn apart, and plummets to the ground.
The streets that once thronged with Taunka life stood desolate, charred corpses littered the streets with tearful civilians mourning over them. The children who played here as the Horde arrived are now gone. There were cracked sidewalks, smashed glass, and burnt buildings. Some of the huts were salvaged by the valiant actions Melany Ashemere and Lanira Dawnshard, the other huts however were not so lucky…
