This is not a good idea.
The ugly fact is that most above average players already have a team. At low rating the player base is what it is, nobody wants to commit to a team and spend time learning comps or improve their own skill level. People lie about ratings to just get a chance to play with someone, but they are quickly found out because the rating of the team plummets. And the delusional mentality most players seem to share, that only people worth playing with have 2k exp, which is why most players lie about their rating experience.
The mental maturity of the player base is on a child’s level in many cases. Father comes home and finds a bottle of ketchup sprayed all over the walls, WHO DID THIS? Nobody takes responsibility and point their fingers at their siblings or house pets. They lie even though it is obvious who the culprit is. They seem to be totally unable to take responsibility, to them it only matters how things look on the outside.
The 1850, 2k and whatever rating requirements are only for lucky minority of players who already have skilled team members to play with. All other players save up points with weekly caps just so they can buy all gear when season ends. I have played arenas on weekly basis whole TBC era and yet to have found a player or players who could commit to pushing rating.
