Same faction battlegrounds -- e.g. Horde vs Horde - like RBGs

Of course you are not complaining. The issue is about BG queue times. I don’t care about world PVP, and if you do since you complain about it, transfer to a PVE server lol!

I chose my first char as a orc for stun resist racial it was not the looks. I was in the YouTube guide herd. Most likely others have done the same.

If i would be the only hordler with 10000 alliance on a server, but could play BG’s i still wouldnt cry that much as some blindfolded fanatics do here. Because thats essentialy what they do. I would deal with taht too.

Yeah, and if you dont like to be 1vs10000, you can solve it by transferring to a PVE server. Or a PVP server with better ratio.

I just don’t get why people aren’t in huge favour of Horde vs Horde / Alliance vs Alliance etc BGs, it changes nothing other than making horde queue times faster, and maybe bringing some alliance back to horde who never wanted to be alliance in the first place

Nope, if I had short queue times for BG I would play BGs. If this would become an issue for me if I wanted to do some PVE, I would transfer to a better server with even ratio, or a PVE server.

As a PVP player, I don’t care about the gimmick called world PVP.

So why did you chose the Horde faction? And why did you chose Classic at all?

But as I said, it doesn’t change anything for you other than bringing people back who didn’t want to be there.

Merc mode doesn’t help anymore than horde vs horde does either, you argue that it brings horde players to alliance but they still have your imbalanced racials

Go on a PvE Server if you want that. There is alliance pop anyways.

Original TBC didn’t have these insane BG queues. And I chose horde because I like them more, and have been playing them since the very beginning. Got friends there as well.

Why do you play this? It’s not even true to the original release? Like you seem to care about.

I’d love to agree with this and in some aspects of PvP they are fine or even great (e.g. gnome war, human rogue), but this is an absolute giga wrong and It’s completely proven by the faction imbalance alone

I personally think the best solution is giving us the ability to queue into the same factions in Battlegrounds, just like Arena / RBGs function. This solution doesn’t effect any other part of the game or meta like having human racial on an orc would.

This will make the faction imbalance worse, therefore it is a non starter and shouldn’t be discussed.

Although Mercenary mode may help the queue times for Horde, I’m personally not in favour of this system. I chose Tauren because I want to play Tauren, I don’t want to have to be a gnome just so I can evade 1.5 hour queue times, if I wanted to be alliance I would have chosen alliance.

I think just about everyone can agree that rebalancing racials is a bad “solution”, not only would this effect the rest of the game but another meta would just develop.

To my knowledge Blizzard attempted this again in WOTLK and ended up adding Every man for Himself, so I expect people to mass-reroll alliance for WOTLK PvP

Please do add any negatives / positives for any of the headings above or anything I missed out, I’d like to hear some actual feedback on how people feel about each of them. I really do think same faction BGs are the move but I’m open to discussion of course

The only solution is for people who want faster queues to reroll, and for blizzard to add faction change as an option for people who do want. Horde → Alliance only.

Way back then I also played horde, a troll shadow priest. I remember having long pvp queues on my battlegroup, not this long, but 40min or so depending on the day and time.

In any case, you made this choice, now you have to live with the consequences. You also have another choice, as do your friends, which would be to reroll. If you don’t want to do that, that’s fine, but you’ll have to continue to wait.

Blizzard should not add anything that would further increase the faction imbalance. That includes anything that will alleviate horde queue times without fixing it.

I already have that on pvp realms. I want to keep it that way.
