Scheduled maintenance - 03:00 till 11:00 CEST? Seriously?

Still maintenance?

I am balding and my head is turning in to a cube because of this wait. Sigh.

Same here, was abroad (job wise) and couldn´t anticipate Pirate´s Day yesterday, so I tried to log in earlier today to get the nice dragon modification, unfortunately the maintenance is still ongoing, so no chance to get it this :frowning:
Well done by Blizzard to steal half the event from us…

maintenance, is always on the same day for almost 20 years and the length is also annouced in the launcher everytime.

so this sounds like a you problem and you dont need to whine over it in 3 or more threads

That is unfortunate but hardly Blizzards fault is it?

Also its better they do proper maintenance than have bad servers right? Else you’d all be complaining about that

Proper maintenances should take 3-4 hours tops though, 3 to 11 is overdoing it.

When you are a normal person working sometimes it might be an issue. Not everyone has the time to do stuff all day online. I for example was abroad (job wise) yesterday and had no chance to be online at all. So I tried, in the hope they wouldn´t need 8 hrs, this morning to grab my dragon modification from the Pirate´s Day Event, guess what? I can´t because the server are still down and when they really take the 8 hrs I even won´t be able because they will finish AFTER the event is finished… getting my point? Not everyone is always able to play all day… but still want a chance to get the goodies… and that makes some people a bit angry and sad that Blizzard then starts maintenance exactly on event days and then even for such a long time.

Its over:;

Surely it´s not their fault but to steal the last chance of me by doing an 8 hrs maintenance on the last event day is there fault. Normally the maintenance takes between 1 and 3 hrs, but 8 hrs even to finish after the event is finished is there fault.

Or in short - FOMO.
Sadly that thing is real and if we are lucky , or persistent with the message - Blizzard can always find a way to make it accessible further down the line. Sometimes it works good, like just adding it to the pool on the next even or other similar one, or maybe now with trading post help.

Or sometimes goes all bad and just puts it in BMAH kek

no, it is nobodies fault, but yours.

and everything you write just reeks of ignorance and entitlement.

“INTERNET GOES INTO CLINICAL DEPRESSION WHEN IT FINDS OUT IT CAN’T PLAY A VIDEOGAME FOR A FEW HOURS”

This morning the internet was found wandering the streets muttering “I just wanted to play, I just wanted to play…” when a videogame developer put it’s game that is usually open the rest of the week on temporary maintenance mode for a few hours. The internet, never one to take things rationally, then resorted to its normal of throwing tantrums because it didn’t get its own way. After successfully luring the internet back to its crib with a baby rattle and some warm spaghetti hoops the internet then went for a nap"

That’s an interesting look you’ve got going there!

Looks like they used the extended maintenance to break events like Dreamsurges and Dragon-Bane Keep.

Time well spent.

 and on the other side of this spectrum you have the same people crying about how this game is dead and no one is playing it right now
