You create back-ups in case you lose or someone hijacks the data. They didnāt do that or didnāt keep the back-ups per expansion.
Letās not be ignorant, the leaderboards/armory were promised during classic and they didnāt deliver with the sole purpose of making the game easy for kavaix his streamerfriends, simps and irl friends. Making money while playing fun and on top of that the advantage of exploiting bugs without consequences.
- Layers reduced as soon as kavaix his chimps were leveled and farmed whatever they needed.
- Big honor on the day of the prepatch, patched as soon as his chimps were capped. Andy taking the blame was all part of the plan.

This is just another private server with as only differences that the offered quality is less and we are obligated to pay for incompetence, sleeping when thereās important work to be done yet going fanatically into overdrive as soon as the kavaix chimp army has completed goals to patch whatever beneficial to boycott the mass.

You are not part of the that billion dollar company to know what is considered trivial or not. Also private servers are projects of passion. TBC Classic is a cash cow. So if some paper pusher decided that itās NOT worth it to invest the time to dig up the backup, recreate the feature if needed or integrate and rework it then it will not happen. To be clear I am NOT defending Blizzard Iām simply stating that some of these things are not even decided by the devs.
Now follow your own advice and stop. Yeah people use the stupid armoury and some look at the leader boards (nowhere near as many as you think by the way) and so on. No itās not a problem if they exists people that donāt care about them will not use them simple as that. But again itās NOT a core feature of the game so you CAN live without it so stop throwing hissy fits.

Itās not alien technology itās outdated. So it may as well be from another planet. My points still stands you donāt NEED it to play the game and itās not a core part of it. You can argue, complain, mock, justify, laugh, insult, ridicule, dismiss, scuff and whatever else at what I have mentioned. It will not change three things:
- If the powers that be donāt want to bother with it you wonāt get it.
- There are potential technical reasons for it not be added and no amount of ābillion dollar company, they are lazyā or whatever else will change that. Clearly a lot of you donāt understand that but no amount of mocking me will change it.
- You can live without it and play the game just fine.
- If the powers that be want to bother with it we will get it.
- Potential technical issues are so minimal that itās basically a bad excuse.
