The fact remains that hey buffed a broken class for 1 raid that is not even cleared by the majority, that is a fact. They’ve buffed priest for 1 raid affecting all the other playstyles outside the raid, it affects the majority to satisfy the minority.
This is just pure revenge on us for shi**ing on retail and complaining how shi*ty retail is on a daily basis, they got mad and now they want to ruin this game mode as well, to punish us.
It is impossible to make those changes for any other reason, those changes are made as means of revenge.
When you know that a large if not the MAJORITY of the game’s population does pretty much everything else besides the raid, what else could it be ? I would like to know the percentage % of the game’s population doing the raid clears on a weekly basis compared to the rest of the % of people doing everything except the raid.
That’s where the issue lies - when majority of players are affected for changes you make to satisfy maybe 5% of the population for 1 hour each week while the others suffer for countless hours.
You argue a fallacy though how is a new player getting stun locked by a rogue and dying to high burst any different. Or a hunter destroying you from range.
Fundamentalty this is a human issue, people hate being rotted by DOTs as they find it unfair. Ive said in mutiple threads id be happy with a cast damage buff and dot nerf but lets not pretend SP are miles ahead of any of the top dogs.
Issue is that putting aside that 1 hour raid, you will end up having people grinding, gathering, questing, leveling or whatever else do do - all those things are being negatively impacted by it. SP is weak on logs ? so what, park it until next phase like many of us warrior mains did. If SP is weak, what do you have to say about warriors ? And don’t bring the logs as means to argument it because many of us do not raid. and outside raids we can barely farm or do anything.
Try grinding with warrior and see how fun corpse running is. Try gathering plants or mines as a warrior and you will get deleted by every paladin you meet while doing it, resulting in corpse running. All those things negatively impact the ability to progress in comparison to a spriest doing little less damage in a single raid that is badly designed and has too much shadow resistance on the mobs and bosses.
They don’t only have DoTs though? Nice burst with blast + sw:death, random stun procs, instant silence on demand, instant aoe fear, pets giving insane caster pushback, good defence with shields/dispersion/dispel.
this screwed up my whole specc. I had the idea of building a 2h Ele shaman. Guess thats not happening. 25 bloodmoon silvers down the drain.
I know it is not usual, but i thought it was a fun spec. could’ve just made it so that mental dexterity gives Attack power when using range spells and spell power when using stormstrike or lava lash. This locks a whole rune out for Ele.
Blizzard, Serpent Spread being 12 seconds long means that we get 3 ticks of damage, not 4. Because when Multishots cooldown is up we use it again, replacing the sting that is already on the target.
Let me guess, the Explosive Shot’s damage will go up by 8 this time?
You could boost Steady Shot by 200% damage and I still wouldn’t wanna use this trash ability.
Since you mentioned a plan to buff elemental shamans in the future, here are two of my suggestions on how to possibly do it.
1 - Spirit of the alpha rune (and the loyal beta buff)
Make the loyal beta buff also increase magical damage, not just physical damage. Since this would buff enha shamans as well, in case that is not your intention then the physical damage buff could be reduced to say 3% (from current 5). Then, adding 7% magical damage increase for example would take enha shaman’s damage back towards where they started and obviously greatly buff elemental shamans.
2 - Buff to the Rolling Thunder rune, new ability suggestion
After releasing the excess lightning charges with earth shock, allow the Rolling Thunder ability to be channelable over 1.5 sec, dealing 2.5x the released damage.
This would practically mean that once in around 30 seconds, shamans would have reached the 9 Lightning Shield charges, release 6 of them for around 1200 extra damage on the Earth Shock (as it is currenlty), and then channel the Rolling Thunder rune ability for around 3k damage (5x 600dmg over the 1.5sec duration for example).
It would do more damage than Lava Burst, but being only usable once in around 30 seconds makes it reasonable imo (on bosses the ability would get used around 2-12 times, as compared to lava burst that could be used roughly 8-50 times in the same time. The damage dealt is determined from the amount of excess Lightning Shield charges released, so its easily predictable.
Neither of these changes would affect the balance in PvP, since both runes are used only in PvE.
once again the elemental shamans try to bogart toys that don’t belong to them.
what, getting mental dex and 21/20/0 spec nerfed (correction; GUTTED) wasn’t enough for you?
you guys refused to take the hint when blizzard said “please don’t use mental dex as elemental” and tank shamans took the brunt of the nerf that was intended for YOU as a result.
the last thing you deserve is a another buff that comes at the cost of enhancement efficiency.
“just nerf it to 3%” bro gtfo. gut elemental shamans. remove WOE from their toolkit.
