I can’t find an answer to this anywhere…
If we grind honor in Phase 1 which is capped at Rank 3 and for example have enough honor for Rank 4, will we automatically receive rank 4 on the weekly update since there is no honor decay?
Or will we have to grind fresh honor from 3->4 after it unlocks?
Don’t care for speculation, only if someone found some official source about this.
I’m not expressing a popular opinion, but it would be better if they tied the ranks to the number of honorable kills, without rating tables. Simple and convenient. The first rank is 100 kills, the last is 100,000.
Delaying rank 14 until AQ is a monumental mistake and is just another thing proving Aggrend has no clue. Without honor to farm people will simply camp the world to harass people 24/7, because there’s nothing else to do. This will result in the same mass exodus you saw in the original classic when they delayed BG’s. Blizzard’s greed will probably allow transfers to accelerate that problem (again). Classic Era had HUGE participation and growth when they fixed caps and decay and Blizzard which has been hijacked by a raid or die mentality (comes from Ion down) has no idea why A LOT of people play classic and why everyone quits in AQ when PVE gear scales out of control. Do you think they just hate bugs? They leave because PVP completely breaks in AQ.
If I wanted to PVE all day I would play retail. I am sick to death of MC, BWL, AQ and Naxx. I am sick of GDKP’s, I’m sick of having to compete with goldbuyers for consumes just to get a raid spot in a yawn fest raid that could be done by literal grandma’s. I just want to get blue pvp gear (will grind purples if Aggrend can balance his clown fiesta current class design), play with a few friends, stomp raiders until AQ and leave like the majority of the playerbase does in every “fresh”.
The focus on PVE has already made Season of Discovery the most toxic, gold buying release ever as far as even getting in freaking BFD. When you have to lie about experience to step foot in a STARTER RAID the game is completely broken and it shows the dev team doesn’t play the game or plays it in an insulated echo chamber. As far as guilds they are 99 percent about officers scamming people at this point. Taking money off the top and funneling loot to a clique. With blue gear rank gear accessible you could skip that and still have fun with some friends. Making Rank 14 something you could work towards was a great idea, but delating it misses the entire point.
Who wants to bid against 2000 dollar RL gold buyers for weapons in MC and BWL? That is raiding in classic wow now. Scamming people making your own guild or buying gold. Either make a BFD like instance that is 30 min long for the same loot as MC/BWL, make rank 14 available at 60 or tell us now that you will embrace these edited by moderator so we can leave.
In before some parsing, gold buying incel talks about parses. You play a baby version of a pve game in a game that was never supposed to be a pve esport. That esport has failed. Streamers could get more views with a relay race around stormwind. Blizzard was built on a pvp game with warcraft. It was half the game. Current Blizzard which are just hijackers has made PVE 99 percent of the game.

Yeah, and the PvE heroes will still be stomping those who wear PvP gear, even though PvP players have worked 100 times more to earn their gear AND rank. Yes great thinking. How about this instead?
Like the runes which are new to the game, put new pvp item sets in the game for each class that gives pvpers an edge over pvers who have come straight from the raid they paid money to be boosted through. I am sick of being stomped in PvP by people who just have best gear from raid while i can only wear a pvp cloak and staff. Bring resilience back, that will be fair.
Also, please make Intellect give casting classes damage with spells. Currently, physical classes scale 100% better than Casting simply because Strength and Agility grant attack power, but Intellect grants only mana and spell crit, which is unfair to say the least, at worst its stupid design.

Unfortunately brother, its too late for them to stop now, truth is, that they profit from everything happening in the game right now, bots mean subs, gold buyers means that ppl wont stop playing as long as they can afford things, and pve heroes will whine until kingdom come if the game shifts to its old scales, and they dont want that because the pve heroes are now the game’s main base, and they dominate in pvp with bought raid gear. WoW 2k23

You guys really need to add some good custom PvP items for SoD then to give people any reason to rank at all. Otherwise 50% of game content is gone for most people and u will lose a lot of players. I’m just calling it. It would be wise to communicate such plans soon so people aren’t discouraged to prolong their subs.

Do we know how much honor we need for each rank?
there is no need for r14 gear if AQ40 is out since it’s better. Change that
I didn’t get it as well, why there is almost zero PvP rewards. Especially from resto druid PoV - we have 0 gear in STV event and 0 gear in AB. I like PvP, but doing it for zero rewards is way less fun.
