Of course they aren’t. There is a problem somewhere between us and Blizzard. I just routed my VPN through Germany and it now works absolutely fine. No lag whatsoever and a stable 30 ms. If it was a Blizzard problem, it would be affecting everyone.
You know this affects multiple countries right? That dont have the same ISP.
How can it not be their fault?Just bcs you used a VPN you figured it out? LOL
You may think that the internet is an uncontrolled web of connections, well it is not. You still have to reach a physical server on a specific location, and many ISPs use the same route or peers after a couple of hops to reach that destination.
Well, it does not say that it is not in Blizzard’s hands…but, it is actually interesting that forcing a different route leads to better results.
The problems only start showing up on the tests when we’re reaching servers that belong to blizzard though.
Often enough I see severe hickups and even continues packet-loss starting and continueing way before it reaches a node managed by Blizzard in those traces.
Oh really?
It’s more likely to be an exchange or maybe even a couple of commonly used ones that some networks bounce through. Using a VPN, you can skip the affected parts out and find a more favourable route. Many countries/ISP’s do route through the same areas to reach the destination. Not everyone is affected by it.
My own trace route was showing packet loss fairly early on.
let me see if i get it right! just because it affects a minority of players it doesn’t count as problem?! nice logic there my friend.
If a (Certain!) game between all of games in my pc, is not working properly, which happen to occur just after the new patch in classic, that surely can not be my connection problem right?!
Secondly, not everyone live in germany or whatever that can use VPN and play with 30ms still, my normal ping is 100ms and with a freaking VPN it goes up to 210 ms
its interesting that not a single blue is caring enough to reply to this problem or at least acknowledge this crapfest is going on…
premium customer service going on right here and imagine still playing a sub for this game in 2020 and getting this kind of customer service!
it’s probably your end guys. since i change the routing via vpn i didn’t experienced lag. sorry but blizz prolly can’t do sh*t.
How many servers they total have? I mean realm servers.
Consider it acknowledged if you like
I responded in another thread regarding loading screen freezes happening and it’s probably much the same here. There’s loads of different things all going on that have similar symptoms. What we have to try and do here is figure out who’s issue can be solved with the basics, who’s can be solved with some updating and who is genuinely unable to do anything about it.
This thread is a great example of that. Some have been able to fix it, some used a VPN (though not supported I have to point out!) to get better results and some seem to forever be stuck going through this server that appears to be causing problems.
A key thing to takeaway, if you take nothing else away from this post is this: Just because we are not responding, does not mean we are not aware of the problem. Just because we highlight other troubleshooting steps does not mean we are blaming you for the problem. We only wish to gather more information so that we can properly sort or report things.
In short, if you get packet loss or spotty connections before this fabled server, contact your Internet Provider and highlight the packet loss happening before you reach that server.
If you get no packet loss and a stable connection up until you hit this server, hang tight and we hope things will be better soon.
here you go sir,

According to my tests, the first [1] EU-IP (185.60.112.157) is working fine without any problem,

and the EU-IP [2], this IP (185.60.112.158) is showing interesting results:

-
following IPs “137.221.80.33” and “137.221.65.29” are showing high ping (3k-4k) and also falling behind on sent and receive compared to total numbers of sent/receive.
-
and the last EU - IP [3] (185.60.114.159) is having 1 bad node at “137.221.65.26” which is shown in here:

Hi guys,
any of you started having issues again? say last 3-5 weeks now?
