Wednesday is wrong, but the date being the 9th is correct.

Ironically Blizzard is confused with the day/date:

Blizzard, the 9th is Friday…just thought I’d mention this since that message is on the battle net. xD

No notification about server shut down on my launcher either. Would be nice to know if it’ll be up in 10 mins or 3 hours.

For anyone curious, the server list now shows up if you attempt to log in (unlike trying to log in immediately after they had went down), which I’ve historically found generally means it won’t be drastically longer until the servers actually come back up, at least in most cases.
If I had to make a guess, I’d assume the servers will be back up in 15-30 mins (though I may also eat my words entirely - don’t take this as gospel)
Yep, noted that as well, I think based upon past experiences, that is an indicator that the servers are booting up. Though I too may be eating my words

There’s nothing written in the launcher or on the website so it’s either DDOS attacks which are pretty well known with every expansion launch or it could be a quick fix or even a wave of bans.
’Anyway, for me personally, the game has been updated with a small patch
Its there for me, so who cares the proof is that its actually offline and some do have a message that mentioned it.
Some people are reporting a note saying scheduled maintenance, so i assume some kind of hotfix for azure span. But its strange its not showing for everyone

Don’t think it’s a DDoS, cause it was announced server wide that they would go down, just… no reason given, or estimated time.
