I think vulpera and junker gnomes are all but confirmed, and holy undead remain to be seen, but sethrak don’t have a reputation attached to them, and they don’t have a player-quality model either.
Which leaves us with worgen.
So a race that either a) has a worgen rough skeleton or b) some vague thematics related to worgen etc. Otherwise they’ll be skipped entirely if LFuD is true.
Don’t Sethrak share some rigging with worgen? I’m not saying this makes it a dead cert. But it’s something to start from.
That or (infinitely more awesome yet totally implausible) Saberon, we do know some made it into azeroth after all.
To be fair, at this point i would support any new allied race that isn’t just a recolor of an already existing race. Sethraks look pretty cool so i would be fine with that.
Yeah, they borrow a lot from female worgen, and some of their casting and combat animations are pulled from male pandaren as well. Additionally, their model got a strange number of unnecessary tweaks made to it back in beta.
The strangest thing that happened was an update that gave the sethrak the geosets needed for player characters to wear tabards and capes. Their model already had everything they needed to display all their NPC gear before that.
And it wasn’t a bug, because the rear tabard flap was positioned in such a way that it sat on top of their tail instead of clipping through it. Worgen don’t even have tails, so someone had to put it there to make that happen.
Still, they don’t have a reputation to grind, and we all know we’re not getting any allied race without a timesink.
That’s absolutely true, but I think if sethrak are happening we’ll see the Devoted get a proper reputation grind in 8.3 or something. If holy undead get one too, then that’d be pretty telling for both of them.
