Seven day + wait for ticket response (and counting)

The displayed ticket time is oldest in queue and does not represent your personal response time.

Said actual time is about 14ish days, depending on issue.

I got a response today.

Created my ticket: october 7th, today is november 2nd.

This is purely bad planning from blizzard, and I understand from a business perspective that they need to get WoTLK, beta, and pre-patch in proper states.

But if they’re so much under pressure, perhaps they should consider hiring some of the 800 people they sacked.

This is absolutely unforgiving, and is the absolute worst customer service from a multi billionaire company and you don’t even get a “thanks for your patience” at the end of the ticket.

The game is good, has fantastic content. But I’d defo not recommend friends to buy SL if this is going to be the new standard.

As if that was an acceptable lenght of time!

From 2019 you meant? Very few were actual CS/GM agents, the actual layoffs for those were in 2012 which is a decade ago.

You don’t need to, since SL is recently rolled for free into the base game.

Greetings, Im wondering what the current wait time is for an old digital style authenticator to be removed from an account? I submitted it a week ago and still no reply or acknowledgment. Im at the stage where I am losing interest in returning.

I thought there was a webpage where you can remove it yourself, without requiring a GM intervention, because to be honest, the ticket queues are like 14 days MINIMUM, with some players reporting over a month before their ticket was serviced.

I tried that but when trying to use it, it wanted me to use my Authenticator to prove who I am! Sounds ridiculous but quadruple checked it. Created a ticket and got a reply asking for ID but still awaiting a response. Ended up making another account and levelling a couple of characters out of boredom.

Yea generally it asks for the authenticator to remove itself, so you can add it on another with a new authenticator.

Or a SMS Protect code, or as last option the manual ID that has to be checked by a GM.

Tee hee so funny. you know exactly what I meant  Shadowlands, Dragonflight, or whatever the name of the current expansion is.

How… Could they have known what you meant. Only you know what you meant, everyone else only knows what you said. Sorry but people are not yet telepathic.

The current expansion is Shadowlands, free as I said

The current expansion is Dragonflight if you go by patch numbers. It’s the prepatch for it, sure, but people do treat the expansion as over once the prepatch for the next (i.e. current) has hit the servers. The meaty patch bringing the official launch of the expansion is more of a PR thing, I’d argue.

Fine, welcome to the meaty prepatch Dragonflight. Would you like dragon flank, rib or steak with it?

Steak is for dinner, flank fits better for 10.0.0 which is what we’ve currently got!

This is a complete joke.
I opened a ticket a week ago (it said 30 days avarage wait time). 3 days ago it was 34. Yesterday was 35. Today is 36 and 8H.
???

This doesnt matter. Its a joke ,regardless.

The worst thing is the timer shows longer and longer with every day passed.
Does this seem normal to you ? I dont think so

If you don’t read my post, the below happens that you don’t understand.

Saneko, you mentioned it depends on the loads from the player base and how Blizzard can’t go hiring people just to fire them after the loads drops for an extended period of time, right?
I’d argue the normal course of action is either to outsource it for corporations on that scale, or increase the scope of responsibilities while hiring more people for it so that they’ll never run out of things to do during times of low load.

Anyway, I agree with the essential meaning of this thread that customer support response times needs to be kept within reason, and once it goes past 2 weeks then that’s way beyond reasonable. Especially when it’s more than twice that long, even if it’s just for a few people. Quality should be kept more constant (or maybe consistent is a better word here?) on a professional level.
