they aren’t downgrading my pc, they are removing the need for the PC to perform the original task, levelling doesn’t need heirlooms anymore.
You are asking for a refund for items you have used and no longer are required.
Also if you noticed, I asked if your PC became obsolete, not changed in any way. So analogy stands.

Its a disingenuous screenshot imo, taking a boe equip green which is the highest you can wear and above your scales ilevel and comparing it with looms that scale to your level.
It’s akin to taking a random TBC drop you can wear at the earliest opportunity and saying it’s better than looms (as it will be) but omitting the fact when you ding once the loom is now equal to the item, and when you ding again it’s better.

I’m showing a level 10 BoP green with a level 10 heirloom. They’re worse than same-level greens. That’s not disingenuous.

Maybe the set boni would offset it.
Yes i expect rewards to say the same. It would be different issue if they would say “we discontunue upgrading items in Shadowlands levels”, then fine, they discontinued them for that but old use is still there. But i expect my reward remain usable on levels they were ment to be used of.
It is no different than Blizzard changing the fancy looking mount you grinded from some earlier raid to look like basic horse and move 90% moving speed “well you got full use of it”. Or taking away vendors from vendor mounts “well you got full use of it”. Those are kind of rewards/purchases you expect to remain how they are, and that why you spend gold/effort for gaining them.

Their ilevels are different. The level you can equip an item is not the same as it’s ilevel.
Looms are equal to green gear at your level. The BoP green has a higher ilevel than average for the equip level, as they do in some cases currently on live as well. It’s due to the “of the …” Affixes and how they spread on low ilevel gear. Generally speaking “of the…” Low level green drops are vastly more powerful than other low level loot (even some blues) due to this, came this is the case on live.

Or they could do what they want because they make the game and the thing you are moaning about is an irrelevant obsolete item that isn’t required anymore due to a radical change to the leveling system.
The sense of entitlement everyone seems to have now days is pathetic.

i think what Paxmillian means with disingenuous screenshot is that you do not compare two items of the same item level. of course the green item will have higher stats when its higher item level.

It doesn’t. 60% slower rested consumed is about one level if you camp your alt for 10 days.

The event wont be around forever though right.
Of course they can do what they want, did you think my opinion would force them to differently? Things matter different amounts to different players and while you don’t consider it a big deal, for some it is. Just hope they won’t touch anything that is dear to you.

Bad analogy. Nobady downgrade your pc they actualy make it faster for free for everybody.

It’s not about XP… it’s about the stats…
What you are complaining about is like someone making a post that their favourite armor and weapon from the last expansion is now useless due to new gear being released. But the reality is a new and better set is available for you to get, if you lot hate leveling so much don’t do it.
You talk like they are taking away some amazing system that enhances the game but the reality is your just annoyed they took an exp boost away. A boring flat exp boost thats all it was.
The thing is:
Replacing your complete set every few levels is unrealistic. Yes, green items might be better the moment they drop. But 10 minutes later you level up and your heirloom gear is better again. Unless you spent a lot of gold or time crafting I don’t think you’ll always have greens available for every level and every slot.
I mean currently while leveling you’ll often end up with the same item for 20 lvls until you finally find a replacement.

go level a character without heirlooms and the difference you will see is you kill things in 5 hits instead of 3
You are talking from own point of view and i understand that it’s easiest to see. Like i said, different things matter to different people. Those who don’t like heirloom change don’t think same way than you about it. Just because you don’t understand it doesn’t mean it is not a problem, unfortunately.

I am leveling most of my characters without heirlooms since I cannot afford upgrades. I can tell you with confidence that rogue overworld leveling is painful. My priest too had a bad time until I caved and bought an upgrade.
On the contrary, leveling my mage with four heirlooms was a cruise and so much less of a headache. You can pull with confidence.

I understand it perfectly, you can’t let go of an old obsolete system that is no longer required due to drastic changes in the leveling process. Have you leveled a character with the new system and new heirlooms yet or are you just making a massive assumption?
