Did you know you can do all of that in game setting file?
Fullscren option cannot be added because is not supported for new systems.
Also in mmo games there shoud never be option to lover graphic because this give big advantage in pvp or pve gameplay. Let say you will turn off grass in shoter. You know how easy it will be to find sniper now?
And this same we got in wow. If you set all settings on low you will notice more often where you shoud go, what spell is casted by enemy etc.
Lowering graphics give advantage over pvp and pvp? HAHAHAHHA. You made me chuckle lol . Stop it ; it doesnt matter much.It just stresses your game client more with random spells and animations. Reflexes and gear are the issue.(mouse, keyboard, headset etc) Besides; most pvp’ers ; even in tournaments ; people reduce their graphics to maximise their gameplay, just for the sake of more FPS.
300 euro for a pc? Did you actually read the specs i’ve written on top there; it is actually nearly double amount.ıt includes a graphics card also.
Lowering game graphics have nothing to do with skills. It is a money/pc issue.I wouldnt worry about graphics if i had a ryzen9 or intel i9 cpu and a titan X type graphics card… etc…
And yes it is not.But thats my whole point.300 euro pc should be the recommended pc for wow.(im still trying to figure out what type of pc that your 300 euro equvalent pc is lol; my pc is worth probably more than that.) It is still more than a monthly wage in my country.(yes my country economy is bad.)
Can you sell me a ryzen 7 2700x on half price? i doubt so.
Even if you do,and send me from internet ; regulations and weird government laws and taxes make it very hard to buy from outside sources as an alone customer in here.(customs and tarifs on border can make things complicated,) Unless you are an importer company.
I dont see people selling single parts here, general trend is like selling 2nd hand pc alltogether. I tried to sell back in my time few years ago to sell second hand parts; and i even asked several internet cafes to sell it, One of the Cafe owners said ; nobody wants to buy it.He even showed me dozens of rams from his drawer and said nobody wants to buy 2nd hand ,and alot of people are trying to sell and said the ones he bought are left with him.
i3, Ryzen 3 is not something I would recommend for gaming, sure you can do it, but with lower resolution and graphic settings.
Minimal really these days is i5, Ryzen 5.
Same for graphics cards, minimal is 1060, 1660 or 2060.
But new minimal is now a 3070 (Please note, Asus, MSI have recommended you have a 750watt PSU for power stability requirements for these new cards.)
Computer hardware moves on all the time, even WoW has moved on from the very first specs to run the game in it’s long life. This happens.
And I don’t get what is so wrong about SSD’s anyways as they’re faster than HDD’s, even the 2.5 inch SATA drives are faster than even the 7,200rpm drives. And they’re cheap to get now as well.
With Ryzen though, easy enough to update bios, take out a old ryzen cpu and put in a newer ryzen 5 2600 or ryzen 5 3600 and get a speed boost, even on B350, X370 chipset.
It’s up to you, don’t upgrade some parts of the system, don’t expect to see the game run as fast as others that have an SSD, better graphics card or processor. Just lower the quality settings in the graphics when it comes out to a point you’re happy with.
And if players follow your suggestion, the playerbase will disappear even quicker because players who don’t have your, quite honestly, ridiculous idea for specs, will just quit!
I for one am playing on a Laptop thats approx 4 yrs old, and happy, I wouldn’t be able to afford a new one. Therefore I would sadly quit.
Why you want Ryzen 7 when requirment is FX™ 8300? You get thix cpu for around 20-30 euro, I got 2 of them on my desk right now. GTX 760 Is around 40-50 euro now. So if you will search you will get pc for minimum requirments for around 300 euro.
I said ‘‘recommended system requirements’’ not ‘‘minimum’’. They can make the minimum specs as less demanding as possible.
My requests for change is for ‘‘recommended specs’’ not ‘‘minimum required specs’’ you understood completely opposite.
The answer is simple ; i opened this ; because i’ll play with with FAR less graphical settings.
official bfa recommended specs were ;
Official Recommended Requirements For BFA
Recommended Specifications
Operating System - Windows® 10 64-bit
Processor - Intel® Core™ i7-4770 or AMD FX™-8310 or better
Video - NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 960 4GB or AMD™ Radeon™ R9 280 or better
Memory - 8 GB RAM
Storage - 70GB available space SSD
Internet - Broadband internet connection
Input - Multi-button mouse with scroll wheel
Resolution - 1024 x 768 minimum display resolution
Compared to ; Shadowlands:Wow
OS: Windows 10 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 or AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 (DirectX 12 compatible GPU with 8GB VRAM)
RAM: 8GB
Storage: SSD, 100GB available space
As you see; my pc specs were above recommended specs during bfa; now becoming obsolete and i’ll play similar to a laptop level again lol. Just because devs cant optimize new game.Even that graphics card alone ; is the total worth all my pc spec alone lol.
Maybe i should edit the title; because minimum system players are confused about the topic.
According to this logic ; i have 1.5 years left to buy a new pc… i need to eat less
Btw i wrote that ryzen 7 thingy because i was considering upgrading my cpu to ryzen 7; i’ve even looked for some videos about it; but its not really officially supported from AMD, but mobo producers have unofficial driver support but its a bit risky to use because of VRam issues. They say you can use it without OC without any issues if you have good cooling. It works fine. But i really couldnt find a stress test tbh.(i have a b350m mobo)
If the customers’ PC’s can’t run it, it ain’t gonna sell well no matter how impressive it is. CryTEK can tell you a thing or two about that.
Recommended is just some arbitrary “What do we think is a great experience” kind of deal.
I have a GTX 1080 myself, and that thing runs Shadowlands at 4K 60 FPS at a setting of 7 except view distance which is 10, VSync on, triple buffering off, and 4x anti-aliasing.
On Linux.
Having a slower GPU, there’s A LOT of things here you can take away without even noticing. Most people don’t even have 4K displays, so there. And even if you do, you can lower down to 4 or 5 and still have a great experience, or take away the anti-aliasing. You’re on 4K anyway.
You’re gonna be absolutely fine. Recommended requirements are quite overblown this time around, but it’s not because the game isn’t optimised.
WoWs suggested requirements were always a ton higher than what you actually required to play the game on acceptable levels but it seems people tend to forget that (especially the GPU part. Given how the engine works and what part of your PC holds a lot more value in terms of WoWs performance than your GPU). Every xpac launch the same threads.
As stated in other topics, if the game wants a rig that can run Doom Eternal at max (or near Max), it better look even remotely as good as Doom Eternal.
But it doesn’t. Majority of the assets are extremely old, the rendering is optimized poorly, and at best the game looks like Ps3 era game. I like WoW as a visual experience, but it doesn’t need to hog so many resources due to spaghetti code.
PS: I am pretty sure recommended is 1080 which is a beast.
PSS: Playing on minimum specs is not something I advise players to do, the game isn’t just “looking worse” there are a lot of ground effects that you will miss in mythic + and raiding, currently in mask runs too.
Will Blizzard Developers use Nvidia’s new HDD/SSD direct to GPU for graphics API, bypassing the CPU in unpacking and sorting it out before shifting it all to the graphics card.
For an MMO, this would help make things load up faster and keep framerates up on the client side.
