BFA also had the worst m+ dungeon to date: Tol Dagor. Probably the most bugged dungeon we’ve ever had in m+.
Siege of boralus also massively sucked. I hate fights where the outcome is determined by a vehicle(especially when they can bug like the cannons in siege).
No. They destroyed shamans with the legion prepatch. The only classes I could really stand playing in Legion was druid and priest.
They should just have reverted shaman to WoD design instead of what they did now in SL as well.
I’ve been playing since WOTLK on and off and I haven’t really done any end content of many of these expansions, so I’m just going to give my opinion based on quests, dungeons, adventure, and overall fun.
Im sadly gonna have to agree, Shadowlands might be even worse than BFA. At least we were in Azeroth.
That being said I applaud Shadowlands for one thing. Cosmetics. In terms of customizations and heritage armors and even some of the covenant gear they have done a wonderful job. Even though some races are still lacking, I hope to see it improve in the future.
Shadowlands gave us 4p tier set Surv hunters, so it can’t be too bad.
But With proper corruptions and essences every class was fun in BFA.
I do prefer BFA last patch a lot more than shadowlands last patch.
activision is pretty unique in the gaming industry in that way, where other games get improved for each expansion activision forces player to go back to previous expansions
Nah wod was way worse…but sl is a failure aswell…thats for sure.
I mostly rate the expansions by their story and questing experience. SL questing isn’t as horrible as the pre cata expansions questing, and while it’s story is pretty meh, I don’t rate it as low as the uninspired Humans vs. Trolls with N’zoth out of nowhere BFA story.
1000% agree. I hate they removed dungeons/items/questlinies.
SL is boring and the storylinie is sooo lackcluster but atleast it didnt destroy other things
It’s not the worst. Gameplay is fun and much more upgraded compared to other expansions. Storyline is the problem. There were too much drama. I was expecting well wrote dark theme story.
I would say Cata was the worst Expansion for WoW.
WotLK → Legion → TBC → BFA → Shadownlands → Pandaria → WoD → Cataclysm
This Is how I would rate them with my experience of them in order.
Wrath was my peak overall experience of WoW.
Legion was my peak Questing experience of WoW.
BFA had the best cut-scenes and cinematics.
Shadowlands animated shorts were just amazing but the exp itself feels kinda… shallow.
I don’t know when it was… when the combat effects 2.0 happened. Combat started to feel really bad after that point. Really dislike the combat system as it currently is.
No, I think Shadowlands is actually pretty good. In fact, were it not for the content drought, I’d put it quite high on the list.
Nah Shadowlands is just current content so people will automatically say its worse then it is i reality. Main problem with Shadowlands is how good it could have been if done properly . tier list worst xpacs or re-releases of them are BFA till last patch, wod, Current iteration of tbc. Corruption pvp scaling etc, Wod lack of content and most of the content was random garrisons, lastly current tbc is worse then private servers with how insanely p2w it is and the lack of community that existed like back in the day while the lack of content makes 99% of the playerbase raidlog which makes the game feel more dead

Maybe if you only play 1 hour a week. Legion was allot more alt friendly then this expansion.
For me the worst expansion is and always will be Cataclysm. Followed by SL and Wrath.
Legion had class halls, one of the best wow expansion stories which finished Illdan tales correctly from his WC3 counterpart and mythic + how is it bad
Probably the most boring. Loved my first play through but after a week doing the end game dailies etc I was bored and couldn’t be bothered. This has never happened before.
BfA is still second, though.
Unpopular opinion: Legion and Cata are my favourite
Yes, for me shadowlands is the worst. The only reason why I rate bfa higher than shadowlands tho is because it happened on azeroth and had some major lore characters involved. Even tho both bfa and shadowlands butchered pretty much all lore associated with them.

Can’t say as I’ve yet to buy and play it.
All I know is that I’ve never waited this long before buying the next expansion.
