Apparently we have access to about 2/3rds of the city, with 1/3rd being exclusive horde access. Which sounds perfectly fine to me.

People care because this means 2 years with a dogtier expansion hub. Because Blizzard cut corners and didn’t revamp an Ally Eastern Kingdom city. Simple. They got a ton of backlash for good reason and just as I said here, in less than 48h they backtracked.

Basically - Silvermoon will be:
3/3 - Horde. Horde characters will have access to all areas of the city.
2/3 - Neutral (Note - not Alliance). Alliance and Horde will have access to this.
Alliance are the ones who still don’t have full access.

Also - can I remind everyone that this is just the city. Everyone still has access to the most beautiful zone in the game, which is forthcoming and that is Quel’Thalas - or as Alleria put it in Legion, Eversong Forest.
Yes, it will primarily be Blood Elf driven, so it will probably feel more Horde > Alliance, but as somebody who has a Void Elf Hunter, Void Elf Warlock and Night Elf Druid - I don’t really care, because Quel’Thalas just looks so beautiful.

Well, I won’t be discounting the side quests of Quel’Thalas…which will probably still be more Blood Elf led and Blood Elf driven.

As I predicted, Silvermoon City will be Horde-Neutral leaning.
And Arator’s story is actually taking place, from what we know, in the EPL between Stratholme and Light’s Hope, with potential for more locations like Tyr’s Hand.

It’s still a blood elf city.
Gilneas is an alliance city. But horde get to go there too.
Bel’Ameth is an alliance ‘city’. But horde get to go there too.
This is not some kind of unprecedented thing.
First of all gilneas is like a movie set.
It’s an empty shell of nothing and it never where anything other then that.

When 2/3 of the city are open for the alliance to do as they like it’s neutral. They don’t even get a stink eye debuff like in belameth.
Look at stormwind.
That’s a city only for the alliance that makes it an alliance city.
Thunderbluff is a city only for the horde this makes it an horde city.
Dornagol is a city where both factions can go that makes it a neutral city.
See that are pretty simple rules.
The only difference between Silvermoon and dornagol is that they gave the horde one part to call there own so they can sit there and deflect all criticism that they turned the city neutral.
And look at you there plan worked.
We can sugar coat it as much as you want but the truth is that blizzard thought of that nice plot for midnight with the sunwel and that they could revamp the city and the zone but they where to lazy to come up with something for the alliance so they made the city neutral and gave the horde one part exclusively cause they new just turning the city neutral would make horde players angry.
And the way they announced it was super weird.
She knew the whole time it’s 2/3 neutral but said majority horde first because what?

They are all the capital of a race. So the fact that they aren’t equal only further illustrates the imbalance between faction fairness.
Just, no. Whether or not you agree that the cities I mentioned are equal or not, they are NOT neutral places. They are alliance cities. Just like Silvermoon is a horde capital.
You can’t change that fact with your own made up rules.
Yes, Stormwind is an alliance city. But the reason is not because it’s only open to alliance players. It’s because it’s the capital of the humans and the seat of the leader of the alliance. Whether or not horde would be welcome there, wouldn’t change anything about its status as an alliance city.
